@johanaben You are a great teacher. The reason I ask was because that same lesson I took from the brother of El Nino Alfonso from Irakere..and they never made any instructional material and that was the first lesson he gave me..Tato and El Nino were incredible Congueros from Irakere..
@InfoRoom Thank you for sharing that. That really assures me, and maybe others, that an exersice like this wil help in building a good foundation for further development on the conga's. Go well and happy drumming !
im trying to learn this conga rumba thing for school, we had the guys from africa west come over to teach me, very great instrument and its waayyy harder than it looks to get that perfect sound. the slaps are hard as hell
brother eres el mejor que de forma tan sencilla ha ilustrado tocar lo mas basico de las congas, mis saludos y gracias por ofrecerle a la gente un poco de tu sabiduria
Hi iam 57yrs old just losed my wife.. to munch time on my hands... love the congas''' always wanted to learn...but never had time.... but with your help i hope to learn god bless people like you... for teaching people who want to learn how to play bless you ...i am ready to learn....... thank you for the video.... peace and love from california...
@giorgioadams It is nice to read that you find pleasure in playing and studying conga's, and I find it an honor that a video I made is of use in this proces. Thank you for your reaction and go well.
Oh man, this super-simple video is SO much more helpful than those with so-called "experts" explaining all kinds of stuff. I've taken two lessons and am still workin my way through the form, tones and rhythym -- this video and technique are going to be very very helpful.
who taught you that lesson??

@InfoRoom I got it from a great video lesson from Richie Gajate-Garcia. It hit me as really fundamental, so I try to pass that on.

Hey nice intro for beginners. My only thing is that your technique seems a little iffy. You might want to look into that.
