Can everybody shut the fuck up about them? Jesus christ. Just because Bert isn't screaming in your face doesn't make him any less passionate about what he does. He wrote songs about addiction and homeless when he was young and still dealing with the effects. He isn't at that stage in his life anymore, so why should he continue to write lyrics about something that isn't presently occuring?

If you can't deal with their musical progression, then go cry about it somewhere else.

Saw them recently. The only old songs they played were Taste Of Ink and a couple from In Love And Death. It was disappointing. Even though I no longer follow The Used, their still good. I just hold a special place in my heart for their first album.

agreed the first album was the best no question. When i found out this song was about Bert's past meth usage I was shocked but it made so much more sense once I listened to it again. Having tried meth before this song sends shivers down my spine.

I love The Used, I have since I was 12. Their music has helped me through alot of shit but I will admit, their first album, was the best. Without a doubt in my mind. They have changed, but it's not terrible music, just different. I mean Bert is one of the most talented songs writers out there. They are an amazing band with an amazing following. I know I'll be a fan forever. I love these guys<3

@unku There was so much more that changed the sound of Artwork compared to the previous 3 albums: Bert's operation, Branden leaving and John Feldmann didn't produce it. It wasn't just the fact that they are famous or they have money or any other fucked up reason that a dick like you can come up with. As a matter of fact, their money issues didn't continue after In Love and Death, yet you'd still consider Lies for the Liars as a great album. Fuck you, you hippocrite. Slit your wrists and die.
