  • Good to see ya!

  • Wow thanks for the warning! Glad your baby got her hearing back that must have been awful for you both.

Dang stupid people with their bots i don't get the enjoyment of it all. this is darlynn12 btw new channel. : )

  • I am so sorry to hear about this Liz! Poor you and Aggie.

It is nice to see you again.

  • Scary! To come out of nowhere like this, through such a seemingly innocent source. And yes, I talk to my cats. We talk to each other. *Much* of our daily interaction is based on the fact that we can hear each other, and it would be radically changed if we couldn't.

Added reasons to think twice and look for alternate solutions first. Warning well taken, Liz. Crossing my fingers for Agnes.

  • Antibiotics like gentamicin can cause deafness in premature babies. My son had his hearing tested as an infant for that reason. I wonder if there is a connection?

Watched this one first, off to see today's vid.

  • As I was listening to you I went from being pissed about the spambot to being horrified about the medicine and Agnes' deafness. What a scare you must have had! And Agnes must have been so confused and (as you say) depressed. Awful story.

    Am off to part two...

  • Marc was telling me about this so I went of the seach to find it! I have three "babies", so thought I better see what this was! Wow...that is terrible! We pay huge money to these vets trusting that they know what they are doing! They should prescribe ANYTHING they know that can happen, especially since there is that possibility that it could be permanent! Good to hear Agnus is better now! I agree with Marc...this IS an important public service message!

  • If I were you I would get into it with the vet, to make sure that he actually "records" this instead of making excuses, and is therefore able to present this possibility to other clients. Jeez. I would be ENRAGED if my vet gave me meds for doggie that did bad stuff to her, and then basically dodged it when confronted.

  • Great information and maybe that is why my Cocker spaniel lost her hearing. She always had ear infections. Could be that it was because she was old to. My dog died at almost 19 years. So glad your Aggie is doing better.

  • Thx Liz ..Wow that is good to know. Poor Aggie.... and the guilt you must have felt... I can only imagine. I am so sorry this happened. I would be just devastated. We love our pooches and our dogs are our babies. My Basset is more pron to ear infections. I do use the apple cider and it works well as a prevention. Dang spam bots go away. We miss you Miss Snark. Sending healing thoughts and well wishes to the sweet little Agnes.

HugZ and Belly WubZ to you both. HAHA

  • So great to see you her again, I always enjoy your videos, no matter what you're talking about. Wish you'd come out of retirement!

Poor Agnes! I hope things continue to improve.

  • I hope that person that "loves" you with all the great spam comments stops! I don't want you to lose the snarkypooh acct! OMG Liz! How awful for poor Aggie! I can't imagine how upset you were and I'm sure it stressed you out!! Woot so glad Aggie's getting better. I hope the manufacturer gets sued! That's terrible! Thanks so much for telling us about this product! I hope the bot leaves you alone. Hugs!

  • I'm so glad that Aggie's doing better...it's hard to see these things happen to the furry kids.

  • btw, the vet comes off like an ass. again.

  • Ugh. Why don't they know to watch for this? It's so lucky you stopped.

  • @MonicaTheMad We've got our lights up this weekend too!

  • Thank God she got her hearing back! I had to give my dog that ointment in the past but will never do it again. I just use a drop or two of hydrocortisone now and it works great. :-) Jim

  • I hope your dog continues to get better. I suspect you named her after Agnes Moorehead. I hope you can vlog comfortably again one day :-)

  • Thanks for the warning Liz. That is so scary. I am happy to hear the Agnes is doing better. I hope the spambot goes away. I really miss your videos. Looking forward to the xmas light. Not sure if I am putting any up this year, but all my neighbors did this weekend. At least I can enjoy theirs.

  • You best keep making vids! Love ya! Weird about that YT person...

poor pup :( Your a great owner :)

  • she's gonna use it against you now, pertending she doesnt hear you, little bitch.

  • Thanks For Letting Us Animal Lovers Know.... Thumbs Up For Agnes : )

  • WOW, that is terrible about the medicine.I will ask from now on about the gentamicin. Chuck get's ear infections all of the time. Thanks for sharing and I am so happy that Aggie can hear. What a relief.

  • cranky mccrankerson

  • You talk goofy to your dog like all pet owners talk to their babies. bwahaha If a person were to listen in, they'd think we'd lost our minds :)

  • I will try to remember no no no on gentamicin :(

  • hey fuckbot! We're tired of your shitty shitness, we want to see Liz and you scaring her away because of the spam pisses us off fucky mcfuckerson

  • hey Agnes!

  • hey kid

  • Great to see you! I will remember about the ear infection drops! Im glad Agnes fully recovered and continues to ..as you may recall Im a dog rescue person. I will save this video. Yes dogs have sense of humour! They smile they laugh because (and this may shock people) dogs can think! :) Thanks for this heads up Ive noted this med down, none of mine will ever get it thnx to you.

  • I will be sure to note no gentamicin for my cat and dog.

It is heartbreaking to know that Agnes was unable to hear and suffered from depression secondary to using gentamicin. It is also amazing that a side effect is minimized, as rare, yet the prevalence is alarming, documented and corroborated online. Thank you for this information. As for Agnes, I hope she continues to show positive signs for recovery.

  • That just pissed me off to the max, FUCK!

Thank you SO much for this video.

  • Aww...poor Agnes. I'm sayin' a little prayer that her hearing comes back fully and stays that way. Miss you! hugs, Chris

  • SO great to see a vlog from you! I have never heard of a spambot, thats a weird idea to think to attach. Poor Aggie!!! I am SO glad she seems to be doing better, I was getting sad thinking of what I would write thinking she had gone deaf. Dogs are so amazing and so much fun, I cant imagine how I will be when my guy starts the aging process. Excited to see some of those festive lights back. Im not making videos but Im watching so Im excited for those Christmas vlogs :) Glad things turned out ok!

  • @djbrec ddddddjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj! yay you. i just tried to hang my lights and every strand but one was dead - ugh. will buy a few hundred tomorrow and do a light vlog this week. so happy to see you in my comment section again - hope you and the girls are having tons of fun with christmas get-ready!

  • oops "deaf" heheheh typo mistake

  • @veolettina lol, jackie, i'm glad you were never partially dead hahaha! you too have a nice day!

  • O h boy I'm sorry about your dog's ear troubles, I know when I had myh severe ear infections, I took tons of antibiotics,, and they made me partially dead while I was taking them, then after the infection cleared up I got most of my hearing back, ear infections and their treatments can definitely make y ou loose or partially loose your hearing, myk ears have never gone back to full normal, have a nice day!

  • :-(

  • BTW, this is an important public service message. I hope you don't hide it.

  • @Perroquet51 you're right and it is visible on my page :)

  • Sure doesn't sound like a rare side effect. Furthermore, rare or not, they should have warned you. It happened soon after starting the meds, but coincidentally, her old age was the cause of her hearing loss. Right! grrr, that sort of crap really ticks me off.

  • @Perroquet51 yeah, agreed. my doc is a nice and good doc, but he is soooo old school about this stuff - thinks everything has a risk and thinks modern meds are better than not having them. but i did get him to concede that he hopes it is the first time in 30 years this has happened in his practice. wait til he finds out it is hahaha i will call him next week.

  • Sorry about Agnes.

Best wishes for her and you.

  • @faunflynn thanks, flynnie - kudos to you :)
