Can someone help? I can't beat Salazar's right hand on pro. I use all of the tanks and he is still alive. I'm saving the rocket launcher for Salazar as that is the only way I have ever tried to kill him. But I can't kill the right hand. I know it isn't necessary, but I want the jewel he drops. Please give me tips!

use magnum, it's the best way. If you use all your magnum ammo and Verdugo is still alive, then slash him (with the famous knife strategy involving doors) to finish the job. You can also use the door trick to keep him in one point for perfect shots with guns. =P Hope it helps ya.

What is the door trick?

You wait for Verdugo behind a door, before he enters, he will hit the door, and you should open the door (by kicking or the normal way) and Verdugo will jump backwards (he will make this a thousand times if you control the timing, if you fail, he will destroy the door), and eventually, Verdugo will get stuck behind the open door, and you can slash him through the door.

I'm not sure, if you are going to use only knife, this can take an hour on pro mode, so, combined with other weapons, it can take half an hour or somethin' like that

Salazar and I.T. are the only bosses you can't kill with the knife only (unless you count Salazar's right hand, which yes, I did try on both normal and Pro, but I could only phase him once or twice with just the knife). There's a video on youtube of someone knifing the iron maiden and another of someone knifing Saddler.

well, IT can be knifed, there are videos showing that, and I use the same strategy with some variants for this run. Verdugo can be knifed, but with the famous door trick. About the other enemies, there are a lot of videos showing that stuff, and I have some in my runs. In this run, I knifed the iron maiden you need to kill for a key, I knife saddler at the end (no stairs trick) and I'm pretty sure I have the best two strategies for knifing Saddler in separate ways =P.

Ah, I figured Verdugo would be knifed by forcing him to attack you while he is frozen. I thought if you constantly made him attack you he might not shake off the frost effect. I never tried to knife IT, I always thought it was impossible because of his fast speed and long reach. I'll look at some of those IT movies.

I wish you could climb that tentacle, but they don't give you the command to do so--that's what I meant. It was actually a little disappointing when I ran through normal last week (I had to unlock Pro because I was too lazy to find an old save).

I'm going to try this on my 0% hit rate run; I've already done this on normal, but you can slash his eye with the knife if you get the right angle and are very patient. It's just hard to dodge his tentacle arms though.  But you seemed to beat him quite easily, gj.

yeah, I knew that it was possible to slash the eye =P, but I think it takes a lot of time, haven't tried an entire fight with that strategy. How many slashes do you need for salazar showing up? :O

I did it on normal, so keep that in mind... I think it took about 4 rounds of him charging at you with his mouth... So I'd say somewhere around 3-5 minutes, maybe 20 slashes. I'm not quite there yet on Pro but I will be soon. And I did try climbing up to knife Salazar afterwards, but I didn't get a command to do so >.>

wow, I will try that someday =P,and climbing upon the middle tentacle to slash salazar would be very cool ^^, it seems that developers didn't want to see knife only runs for this game XD

No no, it's not possible to my knowledge, sorry I typed incorrectly. Unless you can climb to the exit, which I don't think you can, sorry. But don't worry, 0% hit rate is still a possibility.

well, this is a no merchant/no damage run and speed isn't a rule, but in order to avoid damage, I use sometimes strategies that involve speed. ^^

Nah, I know where all of them are, and I'm not allowed to use eggs. Although a lot of times I miss them with the knife and get bitten. It barely hurts at all but it's annoying as hell!

yeah, but if you are killing everything, it will be cool killing snakes too. Just ignore the eggs =P, or discard them if you take them ^^. And kill the merchants too, kill everything that moves ^^
