This sketch had me laughing from 2:07 (when Steven Wright tells Roberto Benigni "I'm wound-up too" with his patented deadpan, monotone delivery) right through to the end. Brilliant writing, and a great pairing.
" I like to drink before I go to sleep. Drink a lot of Coffee before I go to sleep, so i can dream faster. I can dream like when they put i camera on a Indy 500, when they put a camera in the car, and it just whipping by like that...dream after dream after dream after dream. People ask me the next day 'what did you dre...am about?' and I say 'i can't..I don't have time, I don't have time to tell you this."
I really hope someone would recommend certain films like -> the charactor collects and organize things, cleans, very focused on things, works hard, keeps try, innocent, appreciates ordinary life, does his best with what he got..............something like that. ex. 'Everythings illuminated', 'Amelie', 'Leon'(he drinks milk everyday and working out at home), Tom hanks style..
@Balmucho probably you are are not tuned for the fine, cynical, sharp and sensitive details and language of jarmush. those conversations in the movie are performed by GREAT actors.. and this movie can entertain me anytime.. seen it at least 40 times.
maybe i'm biased, as each piece from jim is my prime fav.
Do you think when Roberto asks "where do you live?" Steven thinks he says "when do you leave?" , that's why he says he has to leave soon for the dentist...?
Hey, guys, I recently uploaded Down By Law whole movie divided into 10 parts. It`s on my channel. you can check it out and watch it in High Quality! Enjoy! :)
I don't know if you've ever seen a Beckett play but there's a real sense of meaninglessness to what the characters do and say. Also the setting is minimalistic and desolate. There's also an absurd element that u get in Beckett, like the swapping chairs and the idea of someone going to your dentist apointmant instead of u.
kind of both i guess it would mean more tense though like its all getting to our head and your in a rut and the pressure is building- stressful is perhaps a good word?

Jim Jarmusch has hipsters claiming everything he does is an instant classic. Truth is he puts out a lot of crap with the occasional exception. Mostly style with a real lack of substance.
What about Deadman? What about Ghost Dog? What about Broken Flowers? What about Stranger than Paradise? What about Down By Law? What about Mystery Train? LOL What about Night on Earth? I think you're just seeing style and using it as an excuse to not even look for the substance. Anyone with half a brain and somewhat of an attention span could argue with you all day about where the substance is in each of those movies.

Roberto Benigni was great. Hyper, foreign... just the right amount of confusing gestures as well as that atmosphere about him where you're not so sure if he really has a screw loose or if it's just the combination of caffeine and cultural differences.
Steven Wright was also exceptional. Very American mope-ish... He definitely handled the role well.
Jim Jarmusch is a genius. Stranger than paradise, dead man, down by law, etc. all of them exceptionnal. Probably the most inventive mind in cinema today.
All of those you listed above are my favourites too, but I wouldn't call all of them slow really. Rumble Fish and Badlands are pritty fastgoing I'd say. Faster than average even.
