  • Roberto fuckin cracks me up every time I see this, in Down by Law too.

  • WU-TANG

  • český tonetky :)

  • good good jarmusch

  • "very good, I don't understand nothing" this is something I should say next time I am talking with English speakers :-)

  • This sketch had me laughing from 2:07 (when Steven Wright tells Roberto Benigni "I'm wound-up too" with his patented deadpan, monotone delivery) right through to the end. Brilliant writing, and a great pairing.

  • LOOOOL 3:02 hes asking "do you smoke??" whats he supposed to say, hes right in the middle of smoking a cigarette....

i love that movie, interesting concept!!!!

  • i cant help but laugh seeing his movie

    Essence of life

  • " I like to drink before I go to sleep. Drink a lot of Coffee before I go to sleep, so i can dream faster. I can dream like when they put i camera on a Indy 500, when they put a camera in the car, and it just whipping by like that...dream after dream after dream after dream. People ask me the next day 'what did you dre...am about?' and I say 'i can't..I don't have time, I don't have time to tell you this."

  • I like to drink a lot of coffee before going to sleep, so as i can dream faster....

  • @parkash911 The foreigner..? Besides being ignorant are you a racist too?

  • @parkash911 you fucking ignorant morn

  • @parkash911 you ignorant morn

  • @parkash911 What? Dude! That's Roberto Benigni!!! Probably the best European comdeian of today! Have you seen Life is Beautiful?

    ?!??!?

  • and what a combination coffee and cigarettes really is...

  • and what a combination coffee and cigarettes really are...

  • they switch, and then they switch, and then they switch again

  • steve: maybe we should switch?!

roberto: yes, yes thankyou verymuch! I like to switch.

    hahaha hilarious!

  • man ļoti patīk, mīlīši ! bučas

  • Roberto is the best!

    He totally rocks!

    He's so damn funny!

    Hahahahahah!

    I love him!

  • Benigni pride of Italy, Berlusconi shame of Italy

  • "Do you know my mother?!" :-D

  • I really hope someone would recommend certain films like -> the charactor collects and organize things, cleans, very focused on things, works hard, keeps try, innocent, appreciates ordinary life, does his best with what he got..............something like that. ex. 'Everythings illuminated', 'Amelie', 'Leon'(he drinks milk everyday and working out at home), Tom hanks style..

  • @cestlina "The professional"

  • @ILiveInMomsBasement thank you. but.. I wrote 'Leon' upthere and it is 'the professional'.... so.. but thanks anyway :)

  • I really hope that the cigarette was healthy.

  • i like to drink coffee before i go to sleep so i can dream faster rofl

  • anyone know where i could watch this in full or is there full version

  • @donchuckles Al the best clips are on Youtube, so you're fine.

  • hahahahaha, I love it how Roberto is even weirder than Steven

  • who the fuck did thumb down on this video

go fuck yourself and see indian shit movies if u don't even know what real and fantastic movie means!!!

  • coffee. and cigarettes.

  • BUONGIORNO PRINCIPESSA!

  • DO YOU KNOW MY MOTHER? haha nice

  • ma ke stronzata e ?

  • weak and pointless movie

  • @Balmucho lol

  • @Balmucho probably you are are not tuned for the fine, cynical, sharp and sensitive details and language of jarmush. those conversations in the movie are performed by GREAT actors.. and this movie can entertain me anytime.. seen it at least 40 times.

maybe i'm biased, as each piece from jim is my prime fav.

  • steven and jeffrey wright should do a movie together, maybe they accidentally get into a car crash and have to do a lot of paperwork...

  • is that actor who says bonjorno principetsa? or whatever it writes, nice clip btw.

  • @EUSL84 buongiorno principessa. right :) love this movie

  • Steven.

  • Do you think when Roberto asks "where do you live?" Steven thinks he says "when do you leave?" , that's why he says he has to leave soon for the dentist...?

  • @benpruessdrummer steven did respond with united states right before the dentist part

  • @benpruessdrummer agree with you man

  • fucking awesome, great film

  • The bit that always makes me laugh out loud is when he shouts "DO YOU KNOW MY MOTHER?!"

  • :)))))))))

  • Hey, guys, I recently uploaded Down By Law whole movie divided into 10 parts. It`s on my channel. you can check it out and watch it in High Quality! Enjoy! :)

  • "Yes. Yes thank you very much. I like to switch."

  • Very good, I don't understand nothing! Yes.

  • Quite Beckett-esque

  • @singledout1211

    Care to elaborate?

  • I don't know if you've ever seen a Beckett play but there's a real sense of meaninglessness to what the characters do and say. Also the setting is minimalistic and desolate. There's also an absurd element that u get in Beckett, like the swapping chairs and the idea of someone going to your dentist apointmant instead of u.

  • I have not, but the things you describe are exactly what I like about this scene. I'll try to read/see something by Beckett (Samuel, right?).

  • Yes

  • Velly good they dont understand narthing

  • Steven.

  • kind of both i guess it would mean more tense though like its all getting to our head and your in a rut and the pressure is building- stressful is perhaps a good word?

  • genious!

  • steven wright is a genius

  • you know my mother?

  • very good i dont understand nothing

  • That is good. You understand everything.

  • classic!

  • Perfectly surreal.

  • @diegosalesjp yes tense.

  • Does steven wright say ''get away'' at the end?

  • @meatcunt I thinks he say "in a way".

  • genius film by jarmusch..begnini is brilliant..also the scene with iggy and waits is a classic!

  • benigni lol.

Thank you very much *sincere* - when he says will you go to the dentist for me?

  • DYOU KNOW MY MOTHER!...lol

  • When do you leave? The United States? No, here!

  • its like talking with 3/4 ppl from internet xD

  • another geat scene from this movie!

    bennini is amazing as always

i don't know much about the other guy

  • @fucked13up

the other guy is stephen wright of course. a comedian that you may find hilarious...as i do.

  • hahaaa , .. . very funny, if this was improvised, its even better

  • very good, i don't understand nothing...jejejej, fantastico benigni!!!

  • Could you ask for a better cast?! Damn, I love this movie so, so much in every cinematic aspect!!

  • i swear i would fit right in with them guys

  • @tinyt7805 :)

  • @tinyt7805 - LOLOL

  • does he say 'get away' at the end?

  • he says: nice to meet you too ...in a way (not get away) :-)

  • ah ok. that makes much more sense and fits more bennigni, haha. thx

  • we didn't need all those credits...

  • cool:)

  • this is just the 6 minute 1986 version of $coffee and cigarettes

    not the 2003 film

  • but it's inside the 2003 film

  • "Yes! Yes, thank you very much. I ... like to ... sweetch."

Benigni is one of the best !

  • lol

  • well a lot of artist does that, but i am not sure i agrre with you, i think theres a lot of meaning in many of jim jarmsuches movies.

  • What about Deadman? What about Ghost Dog? What about Broken Flowers? What about Stranger than Paradise? What about Down By Law? What about Mystery Train? LOL What about Night on Earth? I think you're just seeing style and using it as an excuse to not even look for the substance. Anyone with half a brain and somewhat of an attention span could argue with you all day about where the substance is in each of those movies.

  • Name an director that makes movies with reel substance ?

  • Oh I just got the pun! "reel substance"!

  • ìf all people ...had the fantasy and colours ...like those guys....yo yo be fun!......need benigni for dentist!!!!!! ..........better president of the world!!!...benigni sei la mia ispirazione ...coffie???????????

  • geniale semplice delicato.....benigni!...e

  • Roberto Benigni is brilliant! Check him out in "Night On Earth".

  • steve *lights cigarette*

    roberto: DO YOU SMOKE?!!!

  • No, only when i drink.

    ... coffee

  • Steve do you know my mother? hahahahahaha

  • It's like the Mad Tea Party!

  • I'd love to see these two star in a road movie with hilarious consequences!

  • "...Like a caffeine popsicle."

"Very good. I don't understand nothing. Yes"

Holy shit that had me cracking up so hard.

  • How about the random.............

    BENIGNI: "You know my mother!........?"

WRIGHT: "Your mother....No I don't know your mother."

Cracked Up at that part as well

  • Roberto Benigni was great. Hyper, foreign... just the right amount of confusing gestures as well as that atmosphere about him where you're not so sure if he really has a screw loose or if it's just the combination of caffeine and cultural differences.

Steven Wright was also exceptional. Very American mope-ish... He definitely handled the role well.

  • great comedy!!the contrast with characters builds the essence of this movie!

  • Pretty big contrast in personalities. lol

  • 5*********

  • steve!

  • mm coffee and cigarettes, ;P

  • Jim Jarmusch is a genius. Stranger than paradise, dead man, down by law, etc. all of them exceptionnal. Probably the most inventive mind in cinema today.

  • dont forget ghost dog

  • I love it when Roberto Benigni does the hand thing.

  • Very good, I don't understand nothing, yes!

  • Jim Jarmusch is a God

  • i like coffee too.cigarettes also.

very good taste the coffee.cigarettes not,but i like them

  • I love this movie! This was a really funny scene but the Iggy Pop scene is definitely the funniest in the movie!

  • god,

That scene with Iggy Pop and Tom Waits was like being around my dad when I was a kid.

He hung out with some strange cats from the village. brrrr. made me wince even at 7.

  • Let me add that I absolutely love slow movies... Badlands, 2001, Mean Streets, In the Bedroom, Rumble Fish...ETC Just really can't stand Jarmusch...

  • All of those you listed above are my favourites too, but I wouldn't call all of them slow really. Rumble Fish and Badlands are pritty fastgoing I'd say. Faster than average even.

  • 3:09 best scene ever , I love it . You know my mother ?? Brilliant !!

  • chinocash : ] yes I agree... Saw 7 will be a bomb, and in Rambo 14 you'll see John killing Godzilla with a broken bow... all in slow-mo, FullHD, with

    *Behind* the scenes inclusive !

  • Bitch !

  • So why post? Because we should all be so interested in your opinion?

    Grow the fuck up.

  • gee, did I strike a nerve? what's the point of commenting in general? As I recall, I was talking with someone else, not you. You're right. I should grow up...you sound very mature... mutt

  • HAHAHAHA MUTT!!!

  • where can i watch/ download this full film for free?

  • pretty much all the scenes are uploaded on youtube.

theres no real connection between them.

  • Hey Jim Jarmusch fans! Check out exclusive clips from Jims new film, The Limits of Control, on the official Facebook page

    facebook [dot] com/The-Limits-of-Control

  • "very good ! I don't understand nothing"

    heehee best line

  • " Do you know my mother? " . xD

  • I drink a lot of coffee before I go to sleep

    so I can dream faster.

  • " everyone in show buisness should see this example of something completely new in film, more people need to make different movies. it's very real."

Do you get out much? Do you know anything pre-titanic IV?This is not that fresh anymore. Both these characters have been better under someone else's direction. JJ is sporadic. Not everything is brilliant.

  • shit, now I want a smoke, but don't have any, great movie, and a completely different artictic development, everyone in show buisness should see this example of something completely new in film, more people need to make different movies. it's very real.

  • Unlucky, I'm sat here with coffee and cigarettes. I only found this as I was sitting smoking and drinking coffee whilst writing an essay. Thanks to this, I've avoided writing for a few minutes, and have the entire film downloading. Because this is great. Hopefully, when I finish this piece, I will sleep, and dream very quickly.

  • this is a pretty cool thing, i own the DVD. This is the ultimate chill - movie. Don't miss other movies from Jim Jarmusch!

  • so is steven wright.

  • i dunno. it just touched me

  • fav film - top 10 at least

  • really?? i mean, i like it, but what really makes it that good?

  • I think it's because alot of people can relate to the theme. Lol. I know i've spent countless hours in a 24 hour resturant fueled by coffee and cigarettes.

  • Watch the movie... it has to be one of the best soundtracks of all time

  • dude, i have watched it, it definitely doesnt have one of the best soundtracks ever...having said that, i cant think what does. pulp fiction/lock stock mmaaaaayyybee
