Possible because one single account of Pompeii does not negate hundreds of other accounts of the city. Contradictions often happen in ancient texts and I doubt mithec will read this but i want other people to view my comment. If one or several ancient documents conflict with thousands of others it does not make them correct. I could claim my boyfriend is black and post it on a social networking site but it doesn't make it true
