Hi Serio. Just wanted to let you know that I like your game very much. I only have one concern: the way you seem to treat fans when it comes to things like the way you code your characters and the user's failings in some things, like antiviruses.
Don't get me wrong. I totally understand how you feel. This is all very hard work that you want to protect. I understand that. But... ;w; is the attitude really necessary? Is treating them like trash good to protect your work with? Just curious. Thx.
what. if you mean the faq, it's written the way it is for laughs, i never actually got the comments worded that way. you're supposed to laugh at the wording, not get offended.

Trolls and stupid users aside, you in general seem to hold players in contempt. But again, your position is understandable, especially why you would want to lock your characters so no one would ever be able to use them in MUGEN. If I may offer a suggestion, you could make MUGEN versions of them that are totally broken, if only to appease them. XD
The big leap passing through enemies isn't in v0.4.17. Even though it makes it harder now, it's better since it's more realistic. Why don't you do the same with the backdash?
I'm trying to find Somacula in survivor mode. I remember having faced him in Demo 1 long ago. Did he appeared in Demo 2 as well? I might be wrong, but I think I've seen him there too. I've found him like 3 times max. Why is he so rare?
BTW, I've been playing demos 1, 2 and 3 and now it says DLL corrupted. Why is that?

for dll corruption, no idea. maybe redownload the game and put it into a new folder.

as for it not being openable, what did you try to open? the zip file should open unless you didn't download it correctly, and the patch file is not an archive, but just a file to put into your game folder.

If someone can understand Japanese, then more power to them if they like the Jap voices. But I'll never understand why somebody would prefer listen to them if they can't understand them. Just my way o'thinkin'.
And seriously, why Konami released Judgement & stuck it in the timeline, when they could have made an ENTERTAINING CV fighter like this boggles the mind.

spriter's resource is a supbar site anyway, they always upload useless tile rips, so even if he was there he'd be cut into a million small pieces that you'd have to piece together.
spriters resource is ok, just useless for game developers since their sprites are more often than not either incomplete or cut into small pieces. they almost never bother to fix them. i usually prefer to rip everything by myself to be sure the rip's good.
you can choose different character palettes by pressing different buttons. maybe in the future they will add an an actual palette selector to mugen, but for now press other buttons for other colors.
@YarrMateys i WILL give credit and everything but i kinda need an albus sprite for a CV rpg im thinking of. i mean i could rip them myself but i suck at that.
you can just make a new topic for that or post them in the "character suggestion thread" on my bug report board, which is also used as a place to talk about the game, suggest improvements etc i guess.
by using demo.exe to start the game. (one with the blue circle icon with an m letter). old_demo.exe is only in jap since it's an outdated version which doesn't support localization.
oh, it's beta 4/0.4.01+ only. it won't work in the older versions.
I don't recall ever seeing most of the bosses in their current form with this many attacks. There are similar attacks, but Serio seems to have taken them way past where the original games brought them.
I have not tried any of the DS games though (don't own a DS).
dario and in the future demitri won't have english voices since they were never dubbed. dunno what to do with them, maybe i'll just do what konami did and cut out all the talking and only leave grunts. lol
Personally, i think Brauner is the ONLY character in castlevania POR that can pull off the english voice succussfully. and adding the feature of switching from English to Japanese launguages is a sweet idea.
PS1 SOTN Richter voices! Most excellent! As much as everyone hates the VAing in that game, I'd take basically everyone in the PS1 SOTN over the PSP version, aside from Dracula. "You fool!"
Also good to see your game more or less works in 1.1. I was thinking it'd be hit a lot harder with the transition.

It said that config.exe was a virus. Also, I couldn't open it as an archive with 7-Zip, which makes me suspicious. Any explanation behind that?

well, you don't really need to understand grunts and screams which are the majority of gameplay voices.
people usually like them for the way they sound/modulate their voice and such, rather than for what they say.
