Vintage customs are a big part of hobby history! Thank you for preserving them and sharing them with us!! I wish more people would enjoy them as much as the new ones.
That's Sharakk Sei, allegedly a full-Paint son of Naoto Nisei...but as you can see, he's definitely got Appaloosa characteristics too. In fact, he looks an awful darn lot like his creator's model bay roan App stallion Kenji, a longtime showring rival of Naoto Nisei's...! ;^) Thanks for watching!
I'm sorry, but none of these horses are for sale. For a good place to buy customized models, do a Google search for a site called Model Horse Sales Pages. A few of mine came from there. Good luck!
Absolutely! Will never forget watching him stroll away from Windsor Raceway's best FFAers in November of '80. The tail of this customized model actually includes some hair from Niatross' mane; was given to me when he stopped at Ohio's Delaware County Fairgrounds on his 1996 tour. The greatest Standardbred ever!
Thanks for watching! Here in Japan, I have two other customized horses (not vintage yet) and about a dozen original-finish Breyers. But back home in the U.S., I have about 300 customized horses and about 800 original-finish horses, all in storage right now. Room is tight here in Japan so I could only bring my very favorites. :^)
Hey, thanks! I had a lot of fun showing most of these guys in the U.S. in the '80s and '90s...too bad there aren't any model horses shows in Japan! I usually leave customizing to the pros, but recently I've been playing around with three bodies (one Traditional and two Classic)--it's gonna be a l-o-n-g time before they're ready for paint, though. *sigh*

Thanks for watching! That's Jodevin, a Clydesdale colt. He won foal classes like crazy at shows throughout the '90s. :^)
