Nah Bruce Willis wud make a really gud Jet. Keanu wud make a decent Spike, hes certainly got the scrawny stature, and cud pull off the martial arts needed for the role, but I just dont think he'd fair well doing the whole witty thing that spike does lol. @exomorphe They should!! Ed has weird arm movemonets and is just plain crazy!! (which I love about her) so yh that would be sooo much better than one child playing both parts. Really hope they do that if they actually try to pull this movie off. But still seems like there is so much to do with this movie that hollywood can never pull off.
Also as it is a hollywood movie I bet they'll change the ending to something soppy like disney ending >:(

That doesn't bode well, remember Alien 3? It wasn't as bad as some say it was but the original script was a masterpiece apparently, again lack of vision by studio and budget constraints morphed it through brutal re-writing into something completely different and inferior to the original vision.

@gothgal06 I thought the death scene was a bit ambiguous so I chose to believe he survived lol and then there's the feature film which was released after that and he's alive and Ed is there etc. Although the film does examine life and death, dream-states and stuff so I dunno screw the continuity as long as they continue and its plausible!! :) I mentioned Ed before, she is one of my favourite characters of all time, like a mini tank-girl, just unspeakably adorable haha!

Well since the movie won't be made for a while, Keanu is going to end up being to old for the part. I love Cowboy and I think they can find a better person to play Spike. But if he does play Spike he might be able to pull it off but only if the have really good people to play Faye, Jet, etc otherwise its gonna suck.

I vote for Willis as Jet, and since Paul Bettany should be Vicious, then Jennifer Connely as Faye. Julia needs another actress; not sure who's kick ass and sensual enough though. I was thinking the girl from Resident Evil? Idk.
I was thinking Adam Baldwin for Jet, too. Christina "looks" the part, but doesn't have the sexiness. Try Rachel McAdams, I think she can embody the character better. An unknown is probably the best pick for Edward, because some of the girls that could play her are just too old now. Charlize Theron is a consideration for Julia. I think you choice for Vicious is a good choice. As for Spike, I think the guy that best acts the part is Sam Rockwell. The movie will bomb with Keanu.
Diane Kruger is a good choice, Jet could be another one, older looking than Baldwin, Fishbourne or Rourke. Christian Bale is another good choice for Vicious, but Bettany is good as well...
im sorry to say this as a cowboy bebop lover this movie is going to fail all because of keanu. he is not the perfect spike and he should not be directing this movie. this will end up like dragonball a complete disaster with no real story and shit worth the cast
Ed's character is androgynous, the idea is that you can't really tell if she's a boy or a girl just by looking at her, so whoever plays her should reflect that. Cute + androgynous.
Keanu Reeves isn't going to play Spike we seen Fox screw us before with Dragonball with our luck Tobey MaGuire will be Spike, Hannah Montana will be Faye, Michael Clarke Duncan will be Jet, there probably cut out Ed and Ein, and Vicious will be Rob Schneider.
I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt who played Aurther in the movie Inception would be a much better choice for this role, i believe he is completely capable of pulling off spike plus he isin his late twenties and Keanu is hmm lets see...46!? They called out the assumed budget to even make something "CLOSE" to what the series calls for in terms of science fiction spectacle, explosions, and combat scenarios, the budget was around 250 million, up to this point they have failed to cut down on the scenes and still contain the essence of the show. The movie has failed and production is surely dead

Man... idk if anyone could make a 'live action' Cowboy Bebop, and do it justice... I mean 4 the sheer fact of Spike and Ed's character aloneO.O I mean Jet and Feye, doable... even Vicious wouldn't b that hard. But I don't think there's anyone, in the real world, who could rock Spikes hardo, and not look utterly(sp?) rediculous. And Ed... she's a dark-ish, stick thin little girl, with red hair, and a big mouth. Not impossible, but improbable, yeah...

Well since the movie won't be made for a while, Keanu is going to end up being to old for the part. I love Cowboy and I think they can find a better person to play Spike. But if he does play Spike he might be able to pull it off but only if the have really good people to play Faye, Jet, etc otherwise its gonna suck.

I was thinking Adam Baldwin for Jet, too. Christina "looks" the part, but doesn't have the sexiness. Try Rachel McAdams, I think she can embody the character better. An unknown is probably the best pick for Edward, because some of the girls that could play her are just too old now. Charlize Theron is a consideration for Julia. I think you choice for Vicious is a good choice. As for Spike, I think the guy that best acts the part is Sam Rockwell. The movie will bomb with Keanu.

@RetroWolfman The words out, its been proven now that Anime in terms of spectacle can create more compared to live action. They called out the assumed budget to even make something "CLOSE" to what the series calls for in terms of science fiction spectacle, explosions, and combat scenarios, the budget was around 250 million, up to this point they have failed to cut down on the scenes and still contain the essence of the show. The movie has failed and production is surely dead
