  • Deep in the Dark :))

  • he has wayyyy to much time on his hands..

  • i so wish i could just burst in ur yard=d and throw my mums flip flops at the spider web

  • awesome

  • Great video:)

  • this is... amazing

  • i like throwing rocks to their webs

  • whats the name of this spider? i have one in my backyard xD

  • Awesome video

  • So elegant!

  • nothing creepier

  • My favorite spiders are actually the jumping spiders. They behave so much like kittens and puppies. I have seen some awesome videos of them. There is one called "phidippus putnami jumping spider being cute", and it is a trip how that spider behaves.

  • I love how she/he picks the one string with its back leg to place the new string in proportion with the rest. Almost like needle sewing. The spider definitely has a routine at doing this and it is fascinating to say the least. I hate spiders btw but I caught one weaving its web while working the graveyard shift. The spider kept me company for 4wks of work and found a better appreciation for them.

  • It takes a long time for a spider to finish its web.

Which is why there's this myth in japan that says that when you destroy their webs, your eyes will be controlled by them. :p

  • I have lots of cockroaches in my house so I catch them and put them on the spider webs all over my house and I watch them eat the cockroaches... Magnificent

  • I wanna use it for a music video! It Went Pretty Bad@ss with the Music!

  • I would've grabbed a lighter and burned it

  • Fascinating!

  • that would piss me off if i was that damn spider

  • yes, i'm sorry don't get me wrong, i love nature and all but... if i saw that i would have freaked out and killed that motherfucker.

  • I think this spiders a newbie o-o

  • Spider weaves the mandala of fate. ♥ I watch them almost every night. It's mesmerizing & amazing. TY for posting this close-up.

  • Thats one smart spider.

It's using the light as a lure and it's web to catch bugs.

Almost guaranteeing a couple of catches a day.

  • its a jewel spider they love to be near porch lights. I 've had a few of them at my house.

  • That thing come near me, I kill it.

  • awesome. Yeah science!

  • Pretty cool. I found one of these buggers building his web in my closet. I don't really understand why though. The closet is a pitch-dark area with a closed door and he aint gonna get any flys to eat in there.

  • i sure wish i could shit that out.

  • That...is kinda awesum

  • truly incredible :))

  • I once farted and lit the fart on a spiders web.

  • I once saw an absolutely PERFECT web, then some chave came along and jumped up and destroyed the poor spider and it's web. I was disgusted, and everyone around me acted as if it was no big deal >: ( Why do some people feel the need to ruin something, just because someone is enjoying it? Spiders webs are the thing every school child tries to draw and are somehow sybollic of natural beuty.

  • flies dislike this

  • Spiders are the MODEL of diligence and patience.

  • show the part where you use the WD40 and a lighter....

  • well....this is cute :(

  • That web fucking sucks I hope this piece of shit died.

  • aww poor thingg

  • I was looking over the plans...and he screwed up in a couple of places.

  • @lotanerve Ah hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @lotanerve You're right.. It's sloppy work alright..

  • never thought id say this but the spider actually looks cute when it joins those spirals with its feet.

  • The computer is a spiders web!

  • I love looking at spider webs.

  • Allah'u Allah!

  • say hi o the camera~ we can all see yer butt .. no.. just kidding xD (but we can)

awesome to see how it's connecting the lines and such~ 3 mins ago i hated spiders.. @_@ but now .. no i don't love them... i consider them less disgusting v_v yeah..

  • Until you see the innocent insect struggle for its life after being trapped, then the spider paralysing it and storing it in a cocoon so it can suck the juices from it at a later date when it's hungry!

  • What a work! For such a little guy.

  • i hate spiders

  • is someone taking a piss?

  • she has been eating to many flys

  • Spiders are amazing engineers. You have to admire them. The Orb Weaver web is like building the Golden Gate bridge and then dismantling it and rebuilding it the next day. Thanks for the video!

  • very cool

  • I LOVE this, thank you for posting!

  • damn nature you scary!

  • I wish i could catch food and build a house all by shitting out silk

  • 2:27= fail lol

  • "The metaphor of those who take protectors besides Allah is that of a spider which builds itself a house; but no house is flimsier than a spider's house, if they only knew" (Holy Quran, Surat al-Ankabut, 41)

  • @Antidote54 Actually spider silk is surprisingly strong. Its tensile strength is comparable to that of steel. Maybe you should read more science books than story books.

  • @Lumpio2 thanks very much for completely misunderstanding the verse.

spiders are amazing...& yes the silk is very strong indeed.

but you can destroy an entire spider webb in a second..dont think youv ever witnessed that have you? i guess not

  • Damn Nature You Scary!

  • @iNvat0rZim lol @ the family guy quote no one ever seems to get

  • i cant imagine if my face hit that web

  • @rtj182 I could, and the result would probably be a shrill scream, followed by me running and doing the "spider" dance. lol

I love spiders, but they freak me out, unfortunately. I have a phobia of walking into a fully spun web like this, and the spider landing on me and biting me, or going in my hair. Whenever I see one near me, though, I try to capture her and put her outside, because I don't want to kill them. :-) Jen

  • Are you peeing?

  • nauture = amazing

  • Master craftsman at work.

  • Do spiders need light to build their webs? I'm guessing they do to start with so then can see where to fix the main supports, but once that's done, they can do the rest by "touch" as this spider seemed to be doing.

    Does anyone know?

  • this is so amazing . me and Isaiah loved watching this spioder

  • it well kind of suck if someone Push a person on to it lol

  • this is why i could never tear down a spider web. just awesome, thanks

yeah, i know it's 4 years ago, but i just saw this. cheers, bojofrisco

  • not to be preachy, but this very much proves to me there is a higher power. So precise, so nose to the grindstone. A spider is truely one of gods surgicaly precise creatures.

  • That's what we call "life" and "surviving". Spiders spin webs to catch preys for food, it's just the same way like we mankind work to earn money for food.

  • I think Spiders are amazing. They are beautiful to watch when they are spinning webs. I think when dewdrops get caught on the web is the best part because it's simply beautiful.

  • So cute... What a little construction worker.

  • Spiders rule. I love watching them make webs.

  • awesome!!!!

  • haha seriously thats the longest piss i ever heard

  • i believe this is a "boy" spider...his web isnt too neat...lol!!...saw another vid...the spider was very precise...

  • well id like to see YOU make a better web! lol

  • right XD

  • Lol!...I get ur point!

  • Great video mate !!! thanks for sharing...

  • Fascinating little creature, there are the sticky threads and the non sticky threads they spun, threads they could touch without sticking to them, they know which one to avoid, the fly doesen't.But once awhile they do get caught in their own web, they have remarkable sense of touch....

  • spider: run run run *stops to arrange the spider web* run run run *REPEAT*

    spiders are so....soo....AWSOME

  • he would be pissed if i just ripped the web when hes done lol

  • Yeah, he seems like a real asshole too

  • How do they do that? They have a brain smaller than a pin head. And she never had a lesson.

  • Who's peeing? haha!

  • "common house spider"?

    Uh huh

  • ive got one of them right outside my front door, I believe that the common house spider

  • It is an orb weaver spider/common garden spider.

  • Amazing! I just saw one outside my apartment complex but didn't want to get too close cause they freak me out a bit.

  • Hee hee- Oooh this brings back memories!!

I had one of these little bastards on my porch one night. I took a stun gun and zapped him with it- and did that spider ever dance! xD

Spun the craziest webs after that too....

  • her! it's a female

  • i guess hes an artist...

  • wow , verrry kool vid lol ..

  • Spiders are really cool. I have a similar spider living outside my garage, building its web near the security light (so it catches those moths that come out at night!) I was actually sad because I thought it died - it was hanging upside down in the middle of the web one night. Turned out it was just moulting.

  • amazing!

  • i don't know if you are aware, but spiders are really the best at geometry. Their web is built with precise accuracy for each little rectangle. I didn't realize this til recently. Its amazing but I wonder how did they start the entire process.

  • I don't want one teaching my class.

  • haha why? lol....

it sounds mean, but i've started catching annoying bugs to feed to the one i have right out my windonw. We both win =)

  • Spiders creep me the fuck out; but even so I can still admire the beauty in their design. Still freak me out though :P

  • same

  • This is so beautiful...and relaxing. Have you considered adding music to the clip?

  • that spider sure has one big bubble butt

  • great vid

  • did you PEE at 1:00? omg

  • hahahahah i think he did

  • i luv spiders man, their so cool

  • I wish I could make webs :(

  • hahaha what the?

  • its amazing to watch alright! I'm assuming that one is an Orb Weaver. They start out by making a Y-shaped web which is basically just three lines joined together at the middle ... this is the backbone of the entire web. Each night after sunset she'll build the orb part of the web, and each morning before sunrise she'll dismantle the orb, but leave the remaining "Y-web" behind, where it will be used day after day. So every night she has a fresh, clean, dust-free orb to work with.

  • @fivecougarsoz Not sure what it is but its not an Orb Weaver, they're very distinct.

  • beautiful

    a gem of a video

  • Do they ever take a break or do they finish it all in one go?

  • I didn't know spiders stung.

  • No sorry it was my mistake - they do sting, it's just I'm not used to hearing that as we don't have any poisonous insects in England. Sorry.

  • amazing, all this hard work, and one kid with a stick destroys it in seconds..

  • Lmao.

  • amazing all that hard work and one kid with his boner destroys it in seconds..

  • god damn kids

  • I destroy them by accident, when Im watching my steps and not my way XD

At the end, I get a spidder in my face and a cool web hat... it's not cool

  • i guess we take for granted how much hard work they put into building these things lol...

its strange to see it actually taking the threads and anchoring them down! it seems so careful and precise!

    awesome video dude!

  • Very nice, thank you! It would have been even better if you had used a tripod!

  • damm.

  • dude who's rocking a piss off?

  • i find spiders repulsive, im a bit arachnaphobic, but seeing a spider like this i think its kind of cute.

  • i first saw this months ago and can't forget it. so beautiful. thank you.

  • Very cool! If you look closely, you can see the spider use its two hind legs to apply tension to the silk as it comes out. This is apparently how the liquid silk is hardened.

  • amazing.

  • wow just watching that makes me tingle its born with this talent i cant believe how many spiders webs i have destroyed in my life this is amazing

  • this video should have way more views by now even if youtube isn't up to date.

  • Such a talented creature.. it brings tear of joy to watch it weaving the web. must have taken eon of time for nature to endow spiders with the gift.

  • This really is amazing, but I find it hard to believe that it was a matter of time that made this creature. I believe that God is the only thing capable of making such a flawless creature.

  • Maybe the gift is divinely endowed. It is, however, the job of science to give naturalistic account of how things came to be. I know for a fact, since I've been studying the subject for years, that it is possible to give evolutionary accounts of much finer things than spider web, such as human language and moral norms.

  • blah blah blah

  • technically the environment created this, and the environment was created by earth and earth was created by the universe and the universe was created by the multiverse and the multiverse was created by a system governed by mathematics; like a computer system.

  • omg! that must take 4eva!!! im neva destroying a spider web again!!!

  • christ im like heavily arachnaphobic why did i click this video?

  • amazing

  • Spider webs are so beautiful.

  • can anyone on youtube show a spider spinning a web from the start in speeded up motion? thanks for the video tho, its cool

  • That's a big spider!

  • i think it would look cool if u speed it up

  • so interesting

  • beautiful

  • That is great. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Thanks for comment

  • by far the messiest spider on utube.

  • Its clever too, putting it in front of a light, to catch all of the moths and other light-attracted insects

  • Brilliant! Quite amazing, what those little creatures can do...

  • Hes going to block your security light for his burgler friends XD

  • that's pretty creepy.ï»
