You can clearly hear the blues influence in real metal in the early years (like Black Sabbath) and some punk influence in its latest years (like Anthrax). Personally, I'm not a "metalhead" but even so (from an unbiased point of view)... trust me, metalcore sucks.

I have a $500 budget and was thinking about getting either an sg, strat, or a ephiphone les paul. I thin I should get the strat or les paul the reason I say strat is because it is only 120$ and I have alot of money for the amp and case, etc. but the sound of a squire just can't compare to a sg or les paul even if it is a ephiphone and the amp I was thinking of a spyder by line 6 or a marshall amp any suggestions? btw try getting a better amp who ever has the fender 15g is it? or 25r?
