i have a lot of mp3's with artwork embedded. the trouble is that whenever i play my music from my separate hdd, three of four copies of the art work get placed into the folder where the music is. i now have folders full of unwanted copies of the artwork. is there anything i can do to stop this from happening. if i copy the music to my desktop or to my main hdd, it doesn't happen.

Converting one lossy format into another lossy format only results in quality and data loss.

Because lossy files are compressed versions of the original source. If you keep compressing a compressed file, it will keep losing quality.

Yeah foobar is a great program but to get the best rips, it's favorable to encode from either WAV or FLAC to a lossy codec such as MP3s and etc.

i dont think in the lame.exe is a virus..i have the data too..no problems..but if you are not sure or afraid , download it from another website..
