I've watched this video time & time again. I consider Dunster my spiritual home.I was very drawn to the place when I decided quite spontaneously to go there in 1995. I was there for Mayday and fell in with the mad group of the Sailors' Hobby-Horse crew and it was just the best. Sure do miss the lovely ambles & cream teas at the Old Mill.I miss it so much.Perhaps I'll get back to the Old Priory Cottage again one day.I returned in Oct of 98 and hope I can get back again.
i went to dunster in 1992 and 1997 what a beautiful place,i was staying in butlins minehead at the time, this video brings back memories, thanks for this!
lovely vid jim I went to school in dunster and fondly remember dunster as a child. I think I remember the path past packhorse bridge (the one you said you didnt know where it went)leads up into the surrounding woods and on up to conygar tower, and there is an old village tale which says there is an underground tunnel which leads from there to the castle, so the lords and ladies could escape out of the castle when it was under attack.
Oh, what a beautiful village. I've only been to England once, and never to the countryside... only to South Kensington. I'd love to live in a gorgeous place like that! Thank you so much for sharing. :)
Thank you so m uch for these videos! Youve done such a nice job capturing the beauty and tranquillity of the area.
