Any kind of sturdy paper will do, but you will run the risk of your darts getting stuck in the paper. I recommend a plastic, aluminum, or even copper tube from your local hardware store.

I hadn't seen your vid til I watched mine and saw it as a related vid. The pins really ad another dimension.  I'd heard of people using sewing pins with the round tops. . .Might be easier than a needle but maybe not as strong.

I had tried the needles with the plastic round tops, but the needles always ended up coming out of the plastic after a few uses. They were a lot easier to fit into the cones though.

The needles need to be as perfectly centered as you can get them projecting out of the cone. If that's not the case, add a little weight with some more tissue paper and super-glue. Trust me, it takes a while to get the hang of it and develop a system that works for you.

It used to be a Holiday Inn in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Then it was a couple other outlets before it became a Days Inn and then sold to a private owner. He pretty much used it as a tax write-off, and let the place go to shit. A real hooker's haven and drug dealer hideout. Lots of shootouts in the hotel and out in the parking lot. I'm not sure how many people had been killed there. They finally closed it down as a health hazard and demolished it.
