and i beg to differ about gkr being about money. i know for a fact they let ppl as low as green belt teach at their own clubs. as a shodan under andy sherry, 8th dan, i wouldnt dream of teaching as i know im not experienced enough.

i used to be in go kan ryu. awful club i must say. all about money, not standards. i train at the liverpool red triangle now. which is the total opposite.

It's not all about moeny.. I've been training for 6 years and I've had nothing bad to say about them. What makes you say its all about money?

Well I started out in GKR and as a green belt I was told I should start teaching...I promptly left GKR for that reason. Ive spoken to severel ppl that have the same stories. their ethos is to gain as many members as fast as possible, its a business, regardless of the cost to the art.

my old man does a very good sochin, he's the isle of man open 2005 & 2006 veteran kata champion because of it, he's also uses it at the nationals where he's had gold success

This is my favorite Kata from the Shotokan Syllabus!!!...excellent performance and coordination. A couple of mistakes at the beggining but I will give them a A+ for the KATA.

Sochin is one of my favorite Katas. My favorite is Gankaku.  Anyway, what mistake did you see? The only problem I saw was the timing, a little too fast after the side snaps on. But the team was very well synchronized. But the kiais were scary!

Watch it again. In 32nd second - the maegeri really weren't synchronised.

The girl in the front have not compact standings, everyone must spot it. Look at her knee in every sochindachi, look at her hips.
