Hi I have asus eee pc 1015bx netbook with amd c-60 (1-1.33Ghz) and radeon hd 6290 and 1GB ram so when i play some old game like quke III or gta vice city ...or watch movie 720p or just divx after few minutes it overheats and freezes, usually around 70 degrees, sometimes even lower ...i can not belive it overheats so rapidly since it supossed to handle all this games/movie stuff easily...or can it???
The idea should be comparing the AMD APUs from the subnotebook market to the ION platforms from the top-of-the-line netbook market. There the results are tied, with the AMD slightly outperforming the Atom as its core is supposedly an adapted Athlon/Athlon Neo core that got its TDP reduced, when the Atom is inferior altogether in synthetic benchmarks than the Celeron Ms and Pentium Ms, having its power helped by the ION chipset (the GMA is a bottleneck for the Atom).
WTF you should not be doing this if u don't know what is going around..it depends on hdd speed, cpu speed & ram.see the rating of both pc.you should get the results directly..
In the test with the archiving and unarchiving, won't the HDD play a role in the speed of the operation? In that case it is not a apples to apples comparison!
no offense to anything or anyone. Why english people start taking about non-english people speaking English badly? its a common sense to not expect exact accent.
hmmmm English? The only language in the world which says a word in two different ways, take Minute (Me-nut) and Minute( MY - Nute ). Any specific reasons?
The archiving test proves how poor the atoms cores really are. The atom was crushed in single threaded archive test by a long way. The atoms single threaded performance is inexcusably poor. Single threaded performance is still by far more important than multi-threaded as you can see.
holy shit. i just noticed half way through that this was in english. ive been watching a lot of reviews of the aspire one 722 that were in italian for some reason.
@Lprd2007 I have no clue what you're on about. It sounded pretty good to me, considering all the double-meanings, pronunciations and derivitives the English language plays on.
Why don't you spend a little less time being a little pissant prick, making people of your own language embarrassed to be associated with your kind.. And worry a little more about your own "English", grammar and punctuation problems. "L" in learn and "E" in English should be capitalized, and a comma after English!
If you use some other software for movie encodeing the c-50 would perform better because it is optimised to encode h264 like quicktime movie or some other standard.
I don't know if movie maker has other file extenshion support
@boggio Well, I've yet to find ANY software that can use hardware acceleration when encoding on any device with an ATI/AMD graphic chip. Works for device with Nvidia inside, but not on those. And I've tried a couple :(
Sweet! I like how Android handles the Google Apps my company uses, but I must admit that I'm very interested in the iPad 2. I can't wait to see your post!
Well, i don't have neither the 1215n or the 1215b anymore. But I will write a post on this subject on the site.
Shortly though, the 1215B is overall better on any aspect, although raw CPU power is a little under the D525. Not much though. Will write the post and put together test comparisons based on the benchmarks i've ran on both of them.
Just not so sure when, prob in 1-2 weeks; i;'m currently very busy testing the asus transformer and the ipad 2 i just got today :P
This is a great video! Can you do a similar one of the two 12" platforms? I'm particularly interested in the 2 top-end ASUS netbooks, one powered by the ion 2/1.8Ghz dual core and the other by AMD's fusion. How do those two stack up in your opinion?
@damgudluken while some cpu related thing may benchmark similar on the atom to the c50, the c50 for general use will be significantly better. This is because the c50 is an out of order cpu while the atom is not. The c50 has all the optimizations of its higher clocked cousins while the atom is stripped out to the bones. IN general windows performance like opening browsers, explorer windows, resizing windows. If you get chance to use both you'll notice this.

@vtwinbreed I don't mean to be mean, but there shouldn't be a comma after "capitalized" because the next word is "and".
Anyways, good point :)
