  • Work it, Mitch! I remember this when I was a kid. It still sounds good!

  • Now this is a workout!

  • ohhh lordy, I remember this song well, back in the day when i was a young good looking guy... music was fun then, people seemed to enjoy more.. must be getting very very old because I hate the current "rap crap" this is played a lot.. but, nothing better then hearing the old tunes and having the good memories flood back

  • @Civitatuccillo You are not good looking now.

  • C+i c+I bdpq cc writer! bdpq

  • Mitch Ryder and Bobby Hatfield ... fabuous blue- eyed soul

  • I'd like to pit Mitch against Wayne Cochran for the all time greatest White Blues/Soul Shouter.

  • I love how "instant" this song is. Two seconds in, it's hot. Six seconds in, it's blast-off and you're hanging on by your fingernails. Just so explosive, yet coherent. The Detroit Wheels were like a jump starting kit with the clamps attached to your ears.

  • Thanks for sharing one of Detroits great rock bands of the 60's. Detroit did music great back then not just Motown but, classic rock too. woo hoo. : )

  • this song reminds me of when I was in basic training at Ft Leonard Wood Mo. in 1967, man what a time that was in my life, after this I went to AIT in Ft Bragg and then to Nam, wow ! what memories songs like this bring to mind

  • jenny would you like to take a ride on my C C RIDER . lol hahahahahahah

  • One dislike...whos the loser?? This stuff rocks!

  • I played this song for a bartender I liked named Jenny. She didn't give a damn because it was a song from a previous generation. My generation ain't got SOUL! Or I'm just a clownjob who was annoying her. Either way, great song and we all benefit! Hooray.

  • yes great film

  • my uncle is playing with mitch tommorow at a concert thumbs up mofos

  • who was the 1 asshole who disliked this? *loads the shotgun*

  • @MovieTributeArtist Just forgive him, he knows not what he is doing.

Though maybe a little rock salt wouldn't be a bad idea after all....

  • aaawwwwwwwwww

    ccryder

    5*

  • Blue Eyed Soul Brothers

  • It was first recorded by Gertrude "Ma" Rainey in 1924, and since then has been recorded by many other artists.

  • This song kicks ass.

  • Song originally on C. C. and company biker movie from the 70's. Joe Namoth is the biker named C.C. Ryder. cool movie Sid Haig is in it (Captain Spawlding) and Ann Margaret. On Netflix

  • @81MUNSTER DUDE! This song was out WAY BEFORE anybody knew who Joe Namath even was!!

  • yeaaaahr...!!! ;-)

  • One of the best 60's songs ever. Bar none.

  • No description needed.

  • ive been looking for this song for about 5 years, thankyou.

  • classic detroit rock like only mitch can do.

  • GOLD FIND!

  • Is there anything that this guy sings that doesn't have any Little Richard songs?

  • Now we're talk'in.

  • Yeah, the version of this song used in CC and company with joe namath and ann margaret was different. It had a guitar riff as opposed to this original version with the keyboards. The movie version rocks out a little more.

  • @maclen1210 true! and whose is it? I have it in on an old compilation without the band's name!!

  • do you have any idea how hard this was to find. thank the fates you put it on.what a tune.

  • Love this tune. Did any of you folks see the movie C. C. and Company? It starred Joe Namath and Ann Margaret. It was a typical biker movie but the bikes were cool and they used this tune for the intro.

  • @Roadrash63 It is one of my favorite movies , the zebra striped chopper had to be the ugliest bikes I have seen

  • @sleepy7690 Yeah I have to agree that paint job was a little weird but the bikes themselves were great. No 300 rear tires, no $5000.00 paint jobs. The bikes were honest if you know what I mean.

  • Yeah!!

  • hellO

    riders croatia

  • hell ride monster nice

  • anyone here after watching Hell Ride?

  • @scalp340 hell ride ftw !!!

  • The Original is the best

  • Look, im an owl ...

  • i luv this song i play it in my Band every week-n,great Rockin,Boogie,;.

  • why aren't there any studio versions of sock it to me baby on here?? onna the greatest artists of the early sixties...

  • A while back there were 2 other versions of this song even better with black and white studio recording version with video lIke MTV kind of stuff - one of the vids had 2 cages and in each cage a girl was just goiing off dancing - not the kind of dancing you would see on TV in the 60s - just can't find either vid - somebody post it back and keep it here - damn it i love this song - great tune

  • now this is music... none of that rap crap~0~la!!! Glad I was a teenager in the 60's !!

  • These guys put Detroit on the Rock n' Roll map. They inspired the Amboy Dukes, Stooges, MC5, etc who fed off their energy and cranked it up even further. I like the Stooges but if they can enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so can Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels.

  • One of the best songs of the 60's.

  • Gotta love hometown videos!!

  • Jenny, Jenny, Jenny 1:40 ...

  • This was the first record I bought about 1966. 45 rpm. Played it day & night. I suppose that I drove my parents crazy. I LOVE ROCK N' ROLL!! They never got their proper due for sure! Go to any club and play one of their songs. Everyone gets up and goes nuts!!

  • see mitch ryder

  • Another great 60's band that never got its proper due. Once Mitch Ryder started his set, it was like a steamroller. It never stopped moving until the last encore. Just great!

  • omg i love this, get outta the way, im gonna dance!

  • heyy jennay!

  • Classic Groove.

  • woooooooooooooo ROCK ON BRO

  • kinda makes me wanna go and see mitch ryder....know what i mean

  • @holidayhouse03

Saw Mitch a couple weeks ago. Cat can still sing it too. Saw the Rockets a couple weeks before that too. The Guitar player and drummer from this cut are part of that deal. Detroit Rock and Fing Roll LIVES!

  • @lleitner1 yeah detroit rock lives but....if you listen real close to the background singers at about the 55 second mark you will hear them singing "see mitch ryder" rather than "c c rider"

  • @holidayhouse03 Yeah, you're right!

  • Such a great song such a great band thanks for posting it takes me back to the early sixties about 64-65

  • Amazing track, thanks for posting. One of my favourites - I think it's called Jenny Take a Ride.

  • @rosesredvioletsblue - One of the greatest rock and roll singers and hottest bands ever in the history of the world. These guys rocked with tremendous energy and verve. And the arrangements - unbelievable. I love this stuff.
