Was the male dog a black pug? My co-worker is a pug lover and she said black is a recessive trait. Even if you paired a black pug bitch with a black sire, they might not have black puppies. I love all pugs and think they are so adorable.

All the people hitting the dislike button and leaving rude comments about people should spay and neuter. If everyone spayed and neutered all the dogs there would be no dogs left in 20 years besides wild dogs. Responsible breeders do not need vial comments and put downs for producing quality healthy puppies occasionally. Go and do something positive like help shut down backyard breeders or a puppy farmers which is the reason why the shelters are full and leave responsible breeders alone.

@animearecool1 They disliked this video for a good reason. For every dog that is bred, or allowed to become pregnant and give birth, more dogs will die in shelters, put to sleep because they were not adopted by a certain deadline. Bringing more dogs into the world just makes this a bigger problem and home breeders (i.e. not professionals) are ESPECIALLY bad-- they always think they will be able to rehome or keep all the puppies but before you know it they're in a shelter

@smartasskatey Just because people pets have babies doesn't make them a home breeder, my rabbit came home with me from the shelter and then had babies because they didn't know she was preggo, I'm not a home breeder and if my dog got pregnant (she's fixed so that wont happen) I would make sure they went to good homes. Granted there are very irresponsible owners out there that don't take the time to research the homes they are going to and people should adopt from shelters not buy.

Pugs are one of the most genetically mutated and unhealthy animals on the planet. They live relatively short lives incapable of reaching physical potential for NO OTHER REASON than because humans think they are 'cute.' I beg you to watch the documentary Pedigree Dogs Exposed, it says more than I can in a few characters.

you know, preparing a towel and rubbing the newly born pup(still covered by the embryo) will tear the embryo and hence help the mother from licking it, trying to tear it away. Doing this for each pup will give the mother less pain and exhaustion.

I wish there was no such thing as 'pug rescues' and I am sure by the way you took care of things that all the pups would go to good homes. Met two people so far involved in pug rescue and I just can't imagine why anyone would hurt such a wonderful dog.
