I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
reading these comments(mostly the early ones, about subarus). lol, I love my German cars(and subarus), but, you cannot not love a "proper" Alfa. "Too be a true petrol head, you have to of owned and experienced an Alfa"-Jeremy Clarkson
there isn't a "Fiat V6", the only V6 that Alfa had was the "Busso V6", firstly put in the Alfa 6 and then in oher models (with different cylinder capacity, turbo and non-turbo)
The last Alfas that had a Busso V6 engine were the 147 and 156 GTA (3.2 V6 24v)
Indeed, and as far as I can see the oil pressure is extremely low, or the meter doesn't work, maybe the life has already been sucked out of this car. It's a shame, such a beautiful engine.
And indeed too, Subaru's are farmer cars, even more now they have stopped with their rally activities.
sure, the arna sucked and the alfasud rusted faster than it accelerated.
but i love my alfa 33, which i bought for some what less than a golf of the same year would have cost me. Yes, it has let me down once, but you can expect that from any cheap car. For the rest ? it's a delight to drive around country roads ;)
Alfa has some great history, but they made some real duff cars too, and if they made them better more of them would still be around today. Me? Driven 164 24V and 156 24V, looked at buying an Alfasud years ago but was full of holes filled with filler and sprayed over
:(
The Arna? A Nissan Cherry fitted with the Alfasud boxer engine. I guess at least you got the engine with the low CofG, and inboard mounted discs and a body shell that didn't dissolve in front of your eyes.
Ahahahaha!!!Fuck you !And if you are interested by cars, respect italians cars which have a greater history than Subaru;Ok i admit it's a good car, but, please ,don't spit on the true values ok young boy???

use 1% two stroke oil in your fuel to prevent fuel system corrosion with todays ultra dry eco fuel (E10)

gotta agree with morgman45; people who video revving an engine are morons who kill cars!
alfamonk 4 years ago
Beautiful engines but if you love your car, you really shouldn't rev it like that when it's cold - you're shredding the life out of it. :~(
And as for Subaru, they make fine engines but as far as I'm concerned they will always be farmers' cars.
