@HHHKOK06 Sorry to burst your bubble, but Cam Clarke actually provides Simba's singing voice and Matthew Broderick on provides his regular voice..look it up if you dont believe me, but yes Simba does sing very well :D and dont be pissed, I just didnt want Broderick to get credit for someone else's talent..
the line "even those who are gone are with us as we go on" reminds me of someone precious to me who died right in front of my eyes and i cry every time but this song made me stop crying because of that line
As a kid, you probably never pad much of attention to the meanings of the songs, or to the movie. But now that you are older, you realize of what is happening when you re-watch it so many times. And now you just can't get enough of it.
@LilyandGarf4ever O.O im sorry, but you dont know who shakespear is? Shakespere was a pure genius he was the writer of the most beautiful and heart breaking storys,... do you know the story of "Romeo and Juilet"?
When I was a kid I thought the background was saying "Cranberry" for some reason. It didn't clue in that it was family. >.< lol. I laugh at my childhood silliness
I just now realized that 'One thing nothing can destroy is our pride' has a double meaning. It can mean pride as in 'I'm so proud of you' but it can also mean pride as in a group of lions. He's saying nothing can destroy their family!
Everytime I listen or see anything that has to do with the Lion King, I can't help but remember just how creepy "the Madness of King Scar" from the musical. Scar was soo friggin' creepy
Me, behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! If you had this childhood and loved it repos
@spideykoonrulz You're not. Not that I'm a guy...I'm a girl...but I know tons of straight dudes who appreciate the hell outta Disney movies. Take pride in it.
Haha I love how everyone is saying that Simba is now "hot" and "sexy" lol. See, this is how cool Disney fans are. We can even find a lion attractive... :D

Just curious, has anyone noticed that Both Lion King movies resemble Shakespear stories, the first resembles Hamlet and the second resembles Romeo and Juliet.
@AshXXMayftw If you're referring to the Lion King, you're right, it's not an adaptation, but you can't pretend that it's not loosely based on the story.
@AshXXMayftw they dont resemble, they're based on, look at some of the interview the writers did, it's a great way to get kids into classical literiture without confusing them, if you know the basic story its easier to grasp the language, you'll find a lot of disney stuff does that, i think it's great!
@AshXXMayftw Yup, and they aren't the only Classic Disney movies that use his material. Beauty and the Beast quotes him at least once, and Mulan is based off of...Twelfth Night, I think it was. In the same way that Hamlet and R&J were based off of old legends, and the LK stories were based off them, I'm betting somewhere in the future someone's going to adapt the Classic Disney tales into something else as well.
@musicloveer18 I'm not sure that the third is a Shakespeare story...but it's funny as hell, so who even cares what it is? It's ENJOYABLE, that's what it is!
@AshXXMayftw And the third one resembles the Hamlet spinoff play, "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern Are dead", in that it takes the original story of Hamlet, and retells it through the eyes of side characters
@PancakeFingas I don't know... too many lacked with awesome to chose... though, I gotta say the 'Falman's Sanity VS. Baryy the Chopper' was a good one :D Not to mention the Blood Alchemist Arch, and the Separation episodes in the end.
