Apparently the Pythons haven't got their French right. When they say 'la jambe droite' they point to the left leg, and when they say 'la jambe gauche' they point to the right leg!

@Yellowsubmaurine This sketch comes right after the Ministry of Silly Walks sketch in which a man is offered the chance to study 'La Marche Futile.' Basically, its just more silly walking with two guys being stereotypical frenchmen and the normal randomness that most people who know anything about Monty Python should come to expect. That said, I agree. It, alone, isn't one of their funniest sketches.

its just a conncoction of various french words interloped with such things as 'puf soliel' or somthing and 'brian trubshaw' (mentioned in the other frenchman sketch about the flying sheep) who was cheif test pilot of concorde, probably in the news a bit at the time these were aired. Great stuff though

Yes, John Cleese and Michael Palin, they're great (but Eric Idle is "mon petit chouchou")
