    Now I do the same without eating slowly (just normal) and it's working very well. ^^ It IS working if you lose all the tension around food and just listen to your body.

    wanna know the weird part: when I lost 40lbs on the atkins diet(and gained it all back)... no one noticed a damn thing.

    Using Mckennas plan, I got nothing but WOWS at the 40lb mark.

    Everybody noticed.

    and I ate what I wanted- not just eggs and bacon and plain meat on that atkins crap.(very hard for me because I was not brought up on that stuff)

  • I am an original cast member actually episode five I made the most progress from the cast audiance. Pauls system does not allow you to feel guilty if your results are slower than others. It just takes practice, i will help if you like. This is not just one fix, it is a number of different ideas that approach a number of causes. To lable it just emotional suggest that you already have the answers, which many of us who thought we di, actually did not.

  • The biggest thing I've realised from Paul McKenna is to calm down around food and relax and listen to my body, listen to what my stomach is telling me. You can feel when you need to stop eating. It's like drinking...you need to learn your limits and you only do that by trusting yourself.

  • @louwilson17 Trust me, I know some of the psychological parts like eft are crap, but eating in the right patterns, as he shows, is definitely true.

  • @louwilson17 EXACTLY my thought the first time I watched the show... and then I thought "whatever, I'll just give it a try"... and I MELTED. I went from 145 to 118 pounds in one summer, all the while eating Froot Loops, chocolate, McDonald's, etc... everything I wanted. This guy is a genius! And I study hypnosis, so I believe in ALL of his techniques, having used them myself. Seriously, TRY IT. You have nothing to lose, except weight :)

  • I take duromine it has terrible side affects but i literally drop 1kilo a day in a month i was half my size and 4 dress sizes smaller. ive had to stop using it coz i fell pregnant but fuk it was fantastic..

  • Do the hypnosis sessions make you want to eat more healthily, though? A diet consisted of chocolate, hamburgers and fries wouldn't be healthy, even in moderation everyday! Although its healthier if ur exercising..hmm

  • A good question. One thing I always keep in mind from his CD (which comes with the book of I can make you thin) is "eat the foods that will support you". I know that because I lead a fairly quiet life I shouldn't have too much sugar or carbs as I wont burn them off easily. I've been losing weight in very small amounts, very slowly and gradually, since I dicsovered McKenna's system. I eat what I like, but I never overdo it because I stop when I've had enough now. It's very freeing. :)

  • I saw a video before this that made me wonder if he's involving hypnotism in all of this, cuz he is a hypnotist.

    Now that I think about it, an acronym for something he was talking about came up around all these swirls on the screen, then flashed some wierd numbers, went back to normal, and then finally went away. I was like...What the heck? >_> Is he hypnotising his audience??

  • @Shayori No, I study hypnosis, that's not how it works. But his technique does involve a bit of "hypnosis", like when he tells the woman who can't stop eating chocolate to imagine it full of worms (or something like that - I don't remember exactly, I watched it in 2008), that's a little bit like hypnosis :)

    But I tried his system and I lost all the weight I wanted to lose, so it definitely works! It's worth giving it a try :)

  • So sad to hear how people see themselves. The lady attorney at 7 mins in says she feels fat and ugly? My first thought when I saw the first shot of her walking was "wow, she's really pretty."

    Anyway, Paul McKenna is briliant.

  • As a fat porker, I must admit I can agree with the idea that a lot of food consumption is a replacement for sadness - it doesn't work in the long run but it helps temporarily :/

    i've been through the type of diet with many exercise...eat right...and yes, i get lost my weight so fast. 10 kg in 2 months....but after that?? in 5 months i start gain my weight again

  • This show makes me angry... like just watching at the begining I was so excited, last night was the 3rd episode and I already stopped watching it. But I dunno maybe I'm jealous of the other people results but I hate it. Like he starts off every episode with like "who wants to loose weight ?!" "who wants to control their cravings ?!" and the audience cheers and then it doesn't work.. I'm sure it's not the program it's probably just me.. but still.

  • I bought the book and read it and I'm listening to the CD every day and THAT has really helped me. Plus I belong to the web site SPARKPEOPLE for support. You need to do it ALL. I've lost 35# so far.

  • I'm sorry that you have no found immediate success. I tell myself that I did not gain weight overnight.. and nor am I going to lose it that way. He asks to give 7 days and try all of his techniques. He does respond to questions on his website. Perhaps you can tell him what is happening (or not happening) to you. From your comments, I cannot tell if it's a technique issue or if something external/personal is going on. I wish you success on this program/or any. I can assure you that it does work.

  • Yeah it's a personal thing I was born 9lbs ( a big baby) i've been overweight since the day i was born lol but um yeah i can go strong for like a week and then eat for weeks lol so yeah i'm not patient that's my issue i wanna loose a bunch of weight a month and that's so not how it goes.. but uh thanks

  • Here's my two tips.

    I Eat the same way I feed my son(age 3). FRESH FOODS!!!!! from the grocery store. Stay on the outer walls and avoid the center isles that where all the processed food lives. The brighter the colour the better it is for you. You wouldn't feed that pizza pocket or processed junk to your kids so why you eating it??????

    If it only takes a minute then do it! Walk instead of take the buss. Use the stairs at work instead of the elevator. A little goes a long way.Good luck ;)

  • people who are over weight or obese should try to exersize, its worked for a lot of people, and when you couple that with eating healthy you will lose weight.

    this is sometimes called logic

    no diet or shit like that....exercise till you sweat and sometimes until failure

    i dont know why people have such a big problem with being tired....

    and being sore actually feels good....

  • being sore does feel good when you're healthy and in shape, but when you're over weight and your knees hurt and your back hurts and your feet hurt and you are out of breath just because of your weight, being sore doesn't feel so great. I know, I've been in both situations. It took a lot of hard work to get to where it felt good to feel sore, but I'll always understand when someone over weight has a difficult time with it.

  • I stopped drinking pop after I got rid of my X and I lost a total of 121 lbs in 4 years (he was a feeder too which didn't help things). I don't even miss it though.

  • to loose weight throughout your day do random excercises like a jog up some stairs or maybe race a friend to the house...your body will havew to burn xtra calories because it wont be use to the randoms spurts of energy

    my trck team coach makes us quit drinking coke and drink water and propel gatorade and stuff like that it will help you lose alot of weight =)

  • go outside and play. and stop eaching chocolate. Im nto being mean, its true. Also, you may thin out just by growing up, do more things to calm your stress, even tho you are only 12 that time can be stressful. find a hobby or a sport you like so you can be active and less stressful.
