This aired on ABC on November 16/17 of 2000. I remember watching it -- having no idea who the Beatles were -- and just falling in love with them. During the program I searched for their songs via Napster and the rest was history. What a great, fond memory of a beautifully, delicate program on the fab four.

ringo is the greatest rock drummer of all time. but the other 3 were also good drummers, according to ringo himself. in fact, on record, paul mccartney played drums to more than a handful of great songs: Dear Prudence, Back in the USSR, Ballad of John and Yoko. Ringo's best drumming (which he also says) is "Rain".

ringo is a genius in his own right, thank you very much. when he briefly left the group in 1968, the boys pretty much lost their power to make great music together. they begged him to come back & as soon as he did, they were able to create more amazing songs. that proves he WAS useful, no matter what anyone says...

MONKEYZPWN...you know what I mean. Ringo was not the "songwriter/composer" the other three were. Ringo was a perfect drummer for the Beatles and was underrated. I love all the Beatles. They were all a "perfect fit." Two of my favorite "Ringo masterpieces" was his drumming in "Birthday" and "Old Brown Shoe"...among others...not to mention the ending of "Dear Prudence."

I use to have this on video, but I think I recorded over it. The really didn't need to interview N' Stink for this show. The reason I love The Beatles so much is that their songs are so timeless and easy to sing to. I agree with Meshell.
