  • I love your rendition. I literally tear up at the bridge.

  • Actually, you don't want to change a song like this too much. My band pretty much nailed this one. Check out our vid for some pointers. And yes, people openly weep when we play our version.

Go ahead now git goin'. And bring a hanky ya big galute!

  • amazing wow!

  • amazing

  • that rocks bro!

  • Hello there, Very nice video and your great on the guitar, wish I could see the tab to learn it myself. God Bless our troops and thank God my brother is ok, he was shot twice in Iraq on July 1st.(US Army)

  • Hi, I want to say to you that i like this vid! It is Amazing!

I've seen another amazing vid today:

    youtube. com/watch?v=Nh2E5OEQVZA

I think you will like this video also very much! Let's share all video's we like!

Let me know if you liked the video and tell me about other nice video's!

  • I respectfully disagree - I do support our soldiers, and to do so brings up feelings of anger and sadness about what they are going through...

  • Not at all. Supporting the troops and supporting the war/government are two different things. Supporting the troops means supporting that they are over there doing a service for their country and putting their lives at risk. Supporting the war is supporting the thing that they are fighting against.

  • To support our military means supporting what they are doing. If not, you are saying, "I respect you, but not your job, I don't believe in what you are risking your life for." No one wants to see another 9/11, USS Cole, embassies bombed, etc., Stay proud.

  • @annigeturgun Yes, but not why they are doing it. The reason for them having to do what they are doing, right now, isn't that clear, and for that reason, many of us are questioning why, and starting to get angry at the seemingly lack of humanity of the US government. My cousin had been in the Army for 5 years, 2 tours of Iraq, and I proudly support him, the rest of the armed forces, and what they do. But I do NOT support the REASON they must do what they have to do..

  • @Valcarion You are entitled to your opinion. I do not agree. Most people do not agree with you. However, our sons and daughters, friends and family are doing what they are called to do according to their courage and honor so that you may have the freedom to voice your opinion. I respect your right to have that opinion.

  • @annigeturgun You obviously don't understand the point I was making, so I will reiterate it, hopefully it will come through this time.

"However, our sons and daughters, friends and family are doing what they are called to do according to their courage and honor so that you may have the freedom to voice your opinion."

That right there is EXACTLY what I was trying to say I supported. You basically rewrote my point, without the bit about not liking the US government. Does that make any sense?

  • @annigeturgun I love the military, I love our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, and friends who fight and die every day to preserve our right. There is nothing more honorable than that, save all mankind never fighting again, which will never happen.

This is the only thing I said that was different was I don't approve of what our government uses the military for.

You and I are on the same page about the military, but we differ on our opinions about the government. And that's ok! :)

  • Support the people themselfs, not the war thats killing them.

  • ok now please do the welsh one ;) and if ya do pm me :D

  • The sad ending does reflect the anger towards the current government. Excellent, top notch arrangement... my goal as a guitar player is to some day be this good.

  • Thanks...

  • Positively lovely, thank you.

The ironic thing is that it's originally an English tune.

  • Now is the time to remember, to realize, that those who die in support of their nation, either, soldier, enemy or victim, do so with the express intent of securing peace for all nations, and it is this effort that the living hold the soul responsibility to actively achieve, through the strength, unity and peaceful change offered by the dawn of this precious tomorrow so costly secured . . .
