While the ideals of some may have been of that nature, as shown by the declaration of rights of man, there was very little in practice that comes to that definition. If you read Coulter's book you would realize that. As for the American revolution, it was inspired on Christian values and at no point involve internal conflict among revolution. Not the same for the French.

Other than that, the U.S. senate unanimously ratified the treaty of tripoli in 1797, in which article 11 states: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"

I love Ann very much, but I've never seen such patience from her or anyone else. She allowed Morgan to needle her, jab her, prod her for the entire interview. He has a liberal slant, and was determined to find a chink in her armor and was relentless in finding it. He tried VERYTHING--If I were Ann I would have been far more abrupt--I wouldn't be as kind as she was, but she showed again why she is the most interesting, desirable talk show guest.
