  • Loved James Arness also, in How The West Was Won!

  • This movie is pimp.

  • I have seen all 630 episodes of "GUNSMOKE" Many of them more than once. I realy enjoyed this movie..... Good stuff

  • Michael Learned looks alot like Barbara Stanwyck did on The Big Valley. It is strange to see Matt with anyone but Kitty. Arness and Learned have good chemistry though. I am so used to seeing her with her tv husband (Waltons), but I am enjoying this.

  • Ótimo

  • Good

  • awww he passed away? I've always liked western shows or movies. Used to be hooked on Bonanza til i found Gunsmoke. Matt Dillon is awesome and i just found out there's 5 movies out. So going to be watching them in a bit. damn...im sad now that i know he's gone. Wont be the same now watching gunsmoke with this info in my head.

  • Loved James Arness, RIP! Have been watching How The West Was Won c. 1977, and reminded me how lovable he was. Got that limp in Anzio, WWII, benefit of Nazi machine gun fire. TV and real life hero!

  • billy paxton. check out matt gettin his pimp on. old scraggly old country dude over there playing the harmonica. lookin like a sucker.

  • billy paxton.

  • did u know some people really died on set

  • allways thought matt and kitty would hook up

  • i hated to hear about James Arness's passing and heis in the cowboy hal of fame in okc ok.

  • Arness dead? Didn't know. Now he and his brother Peter are both in their....no, I hate puns. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear this. I had a close friend years ago who'd known Arness extremely well for 40 years and surprised me by saying that Arness had a great sense of humor, one of the funniest guys he ever met--and this guy had also been close with Lenny Bruce, Bill Cosby, and Mort Sahl.

  • I will miss you James Arness. I enjoyed your work on television.

  • RIP James Arness!!!!

  • Sad to hear of his passing. Never forget he was a real American Hero. From the beach of Anzio to Dodge City.

  • Why do they spit?

  • @firelied chewing tobacco. chaw. etc.

  • YES!!! About bloody time this was on here hee hee...great movie!! woo hoo xx

  • i wish we had more james arnesses and more john waynes today

  • The guy playing the Indian here looks like Clint Walker.

  • @Onlymusical

other the fact he's 30-40 years younger than clint walker

  • @boteenracing Yeah, if they reboot "Cheyenne," he's the guy for the gig.

  • Richard Kiley's good in this. I never realized these Gunsmoke TV movies were so good but they are. Some of them have great violin music in the background and the production values are fine.

  • great episode, why can't they make westerns like this now.

  • Wow..

thank you verymuch for this movie.

    I really enjoyed it

  • Awsome show will you please post the other 4 movies that was made.

  • OK, so Matt and Mike created a love child when Matt had amnesia in episode 590 entitled "Matt's Love Story." So I guess it's safe to say that Matt was really shootin' bullets.

  • I don't get this clear, Matt was with Miss. Kitty for 19 year and never had kids! And just one night stand ..... gave him a daughter? Was Kitty Russell his real love?

  • OK, let me get this straight...We are supposed to believe that Matt's temporary amnesia led to a night of passion and ultimately a daughter he never knew about until years and years later.

It strains credibility to believe it.

  • @41057al It also strains credibility to believe that anyone shot as many times as Matt Dillon would still be as fast, and able to ride a horse, let alone walk, but sometimes you've just got to suspend disbelief and let the art wash over you.

  • @41057al Hey That's TV For you! Its not supposed to be all like real Life! Need some Fiction here & there. But Wow look at that face of Matt's ! Boy It would not been good to have HD back then or there would have been a lot of Doctor visits for a whole bunch of nips & Tucks. But to have a TV show last 20years & then these Movies after that . I was the fan of the B&W 1/2 hr shows but that is just me. Thanks for the Movie DC! Cheers Ray!

  • "It strains credibility to believe it" ~ very funny.
