Since pontiac is going the way of the dodo Holden still holds the rights and is still going to work with gm to retrofit camaros and switch them over to firebirds and trans ams. It will have more in common with the first gen cars that were about the same. They started as camaros and I would definately want one.
@Blacklung27 Thats hat that car is based off of. It is a model of a real car made in florida. Not made by pontiac, but has the pontiac name, and emblem.
no camaros suck compared to T/As the new T/A has to have the 77 T/A sides....this concept model has the sides of a Camaro (eww), not a unique style like the 77 Trans Am that a concept car should have.
the camaro isnt a bad looking car. i think its one of the best looking cars coming out. the trans am looks like a camaro with a body kit on it. it still looks nice though.
its not a BAD looking car....but it is NOWHERE NEAR best looking....and this model T/A looks even nicer, sorry to say for Camaro. either way they are a really good breed of muscle cars...Camaro & T/A.
However, I don't want it to be too thick looking, ya know? I like the 70's trans am. I do. But it was the third generation that had a bigger impact on me, thanks to knight rider, which am such a huge fan of.
It was an impact on me 'cause it lookd so slick, sleek, and yet, macho, powerful, and the speed to back up it's figure. I'm just hoping that it'll be even faster than ever when it comes back.
yeah i think the new trans am should look extremely alike to the 1977 trans am from the famous movie Smokey and the Bandit. Did u see the new transformers movie?? that new Camaro was pretty sweet. I got hooked on the 1976-81 T/As cuz of smokey and the bandit.
and I have seen the new camero. I have nothing against it. HOWEVER, it was the third(don't hate!!) generation that made a much bigger impact for me thanks to knight rider.
And personally, I want the camero to stay indepenent on it's model because I don't want the new model to look too thick, ya know?
I want it to have that slick, sleek look so it could still do all those cool moves like car tricks(performace wise) & yet have a real HUGE engine for extra speed.
hey man a trans ams a trans am third generation first generation second gen 4th gen ANY t/a. trans ams are awesome no matter what type. I think the 1978 1977 and 1980 were made famous by Smokey and the Bandit, and the third gen were made famous by Knight Rider (which is an AWESOME show and awesome car).
I know a trans Am's a Trans Am. I just don't want it to be too thick-looking.
I'd like the new model to have a sleek look without the body being down to the ground like those other cars because I still want it to be able to make cool tricks & stunts if it's ever in a car stunt show.
& again, yet have a real HUGE engine
that could be more than 700 or 800 horsepower because as a fan, I really want it to be much faster & badder than ever. Along with exellent perfornance.
