I believe Byron was attempting to prove a point by allowing that bad ass character to hit him. Taking your anger out on the wrong person or thing will never solve the real issues behind the anger. Well done scene! Did anyone miss the theme in this?
@peskylisa That's how bullies and bigots operate. Guys like that asshole who went to town on Byron's head are usually insecure and find a way to project that insecurity on an easy target. In this case, it was rogue telepaths. So yeah, I also saw what was Byron's point to allow this wanna-be tough guy to hit him. Though Sadly, the stubborn idiot did not learn that lesson and it cost him his life.
Byron should have had more screen time

@ChocolateAnimlCrackr It is from Babylon 5: I have since added that to the title :) I guess I forgot to do that the first time.

I had a lot of respect for this man, he really just wanted what was best for his people. He really tried to help them.

When I was a kid I missed the point of this, but now as an adult I see clearly what Byron is talking about.

This is also one of my favorite scenes. I love Byron so much as a character.
