Do you know any one who sells the super scoop boxes? I'm in the USA looking to get 4 18 inch super scoops ( True to the designs on speaker plans.com) and 4 mt102's Both sets of boxes being unloaded. Any leads would be very helpful.
@2ManyNoobs IMOH depends how do you process them and you stack them, whe use this cab as midbass but if I lay down on the ground it's a proper bass cabs that play 60hz with a good throw, lower than that start to honk.
la synare è inimitabile! per quanto riguarda gli scoop bass quanto ci hai speso e quanto tempo hai impiegato a costruirli? e i progetti per quelli ce li hai:-?
There the really cheapo JBL's arn't they. I'm sure they sound lovely to your ears, just not everyones cup of tea! I bet this system has had a lot of hard work put into building it. Slightly more powerfull than a pair of cheap JBL 15inchers! lol
Come off it, Your JBL's have a tiny 2.5 inch voice coil (bass driver) and 250wrms handling! Its laughable really to call it a pa speaker, more like cheap hi-fi speaker! lol
its a sound reinforcment speaker, and it has been designed to produce exactly what it eeds to, the bass is going to subwoofers, so it doesnt need to be as big to product the really low frequencies.....
The point i'm trying to make is you cant tell from a video on youtube how good sound clarity from horn loaded speakers actually are, the microphone on a camera can't do that. I'm a fan of JBL myself and was building my own speakers at 6 years old instead of playing with toys, so I know exactly where your coming from.
however, the point i was trying to make had nothing to do with the sound quality of this video, but the remark that you said about the goodmans stereo... trying to put out that not all of us have shit 'stereo's'
youtube cant stream a wide frequency band and yes the microphone is very limited, i agree....
haha yeah i remember building some speakers :P:P had 2 ask 4 help tho :P was a bit young for the soldering iron :P:P:P
Just get fed up of ppl saying "shit" ect on here when most have no idea at all! So, what power amp you running with those 115's? I've got right into building huge subs at the mo, gone a bit bass crazy!
Love those kick bass/mid horns from martin, if the response was low enough for sub use I'd build some in a shot, but sadly not low enough for me on there own...
must do a vid of my set up sometime, running at the mo: tri-colour laser 160mw, 2 abstract hypermoons, 1 moonflower, 1 tunnel type moonflower, 1 eurolight 600w derby, 2 strobes and a smaller red laser, still building on it all really.

And ive been into sound my whole life, and i know a good sound system whan i hear one...

also many DJ's use that series...
