Keeping your homies alive is fucking hard in this level, especially in Morphine mode. people are coming out of nowhere and before you know it not only is your buddy down, but he is all the way across the fucking room with no possible way to get to him in time because of all the bullets you have to doge and all the cops you have to go through.
