My husband is crippled with Parkinson's Disease. He is a Vietnam Era Veteran, Honorable. We have experenced US Veterans Hospital abuse. Who do we turn to, to get the message to the public? My husband laid 5 hrs in his own FECES & URINE at a US VA hosp. 6-15-2011 How can our country allow this to happen? This issue is ignored by US Govnt officials, pres obama and VA Admin. Do they NOT understand & care about PD patients? Thanks, K Carter, Wife/caregiver of Mr. Lynn E Carter, Fort Smith AR
My mother was just diagnoised today, and she is bedridden, over the last three months she went from walking to falling so often even her walker is no longer helping her. She was just put on medication and going to be given physical therapy, I wanted to thank you for this video, we're overwhelmed and mom is 68 and diabetic, and has heart problems, we thought all these signs as something else. The tremors are more a slight shaking.. she felt she was going nuts. Thank you so much for this. Bless U

@MsTainteddove I'm sorrry for your mother's diagnosis. There is grace to be found, however, in all tragedies...though it can be HARD to find. Keep the faith, and hang in there. Strangely, my Dad's brother just got diagnosed with the same kind of Parkinson's that my Dad has. This is very strange, as they have said that Parkinson's is NOT genetic. So if it is NOT genetic, then why do both my Dad and his brother have it? Were they exposed to something as children? Interesting...
Yep. These are my parents. It's a tough thing, for sure...but remarkable how tragedy and tension can bring out the best in people. My Dad's body has declined, indeed. However, emotionally, my Dad has only become stronger, deeper, and calmer.
