bloc party has helped through lots of times. They have helped me see the beauty in life and in people. They provided me comfort when I was at my lowest. When I hear that they may move on in separate directions I at first i felt like this shouldnt happen, what will happen to this great band. But then I feel like maybe this is happening for a reason. Like it is finally time to move on. If the band mates feel this and will be happier like this, then I'll be happy with whatever the future brings.
@CaptainRandom Skeleton used to be my favorite song of theirs, so I bought it on an import CD that included Tulips. I immediately adopted a new favorite song of theirs.
@colberrrt They're just freaking amazing. Every time I hear something of theirs that I wasn't previously familiar with it immediately becomes my new favorite song. Bloc Party could write a song about eating live babies and I'd still be like, "this is great!"
das album a weekend in the city ist von den erlebnissen der band während ihrer langjährigen tour geprägt (wie der titel schon sagt). wahrscheinlich handelt der song von den auftritten in berlin
Kele: "A few years ago i came to Berlin for a month. It was a real eye opening time for me and this song is imbued with lots of memories of the city... it´s a recollection of the time i spent there."
Dort stehen zu sehr vielen Songs Aussagen von der Band. Durchaus interessant.
btw if they don´t know nothing they know something about it... half germany is a turkish sector, you guys are everywhere, we respect you but u hate us, guys like you should go back to Turky, and no this is no racism, its the truth, you live in our land and you give a fuck about the german guys, u maybe bully them, thats primitive, its like racism...
Verpiss dich, kleiner Fascho. Shame on those who upvote this fucker.
@LastDaySyndrom Racist Idiot. Half of germany? Yes, I'm sure that there are 44 million turks in Germany.
Oh yeah, and every single turk bullies Germans. Go back to Turkey? They have escaped a terrible, oppresive country to come to one of the best countries in the world, where they have human rights, can contribute to a strong nation, culturally and economically, and yet you claim they bully you.
@WildOGC ja danke für den primitiven Kommentar wegen Leuten wie dir geht deutschland unter. in 20 jahren ist deutschland eine türkische kolonie. geh doch in dein ahhh so tolles Land türkei zurück.
@WildOGC Mmmhh... Turkish sector that rings a bell, but I believe it was French, British, American and Russian last time wasn't it and I believe that didn't turn out too well did it?
The song is after the narrator from "I Still Remember" grew up and was never able to find true love, constantly going to Kreuzberg trying to find someone.
First I was wondering. East Side Gallery actually is in Friedrichshain. But to get there by U-Bahn, one usually has to pass Kreuzberg. Seems to make sense.
@XeIreyX easy thing dude, he is saying that he is kind of a "playboy" haveing a lot of women but thats not what he wants to have. He wants to feel real love but he cant. He always thinks he has found his love and hopes that THIS love feeling will hold on for a long period of time... but well it doesnt and he is searching again and again and again... always ending up with another woman in bed!
@afghani1988 Almost, but I think he's talking about his disappointment after homosexual one-night stands. He thinks he's found love, but his partners are only his for the night. When he laments, "Concerned mothers of the west, teach your sons how to truly love," he's referring to the mothers of his partners.
This has an underlying melody that is really similar to No Doubt's song "Never Let Me Down"
