I do not practice in Ohio so I do not know if this decision is good law or controlling precedent on the issue. However, this case reaches a different decision than a South Carolina court would based out South Carolina case law. South Carolina has held that continued at-will employment is not sufficient consideration to support a non-compete. The Columber case reaches the opposite conclusion.
