  • I do not practice in Ohio so I do not know if this decision is good law or controlling precedent on the issue. However, this case reaches a different decision than a South Carolina court would based out South Carolina case law. South Carolina has held that continued at-will employment is not sufficient consideration to support a non-compete. The Columber case reaches the opposite conclusion.

  • Hello sir, Very interesting oppinion about noncompete agreements after employment has been already started.

    Please if you could comment on the situation with consideration at the "Lake land Employment Group of Akron, LLC v. Columber, 101 Ohio St.3d 242, 2004-Ohio-786"
