someone please help, i jailbroke my ipod with blackra1n, it was all successful and i was using my jailbroken ipod fine and it worked perfectly. but whenever i turn it off it enters recovery mode and i have to use blackra1n again to get it out temperarily, if anyone knows a permanant fix to this it wud be much appreciated.

Which issue is this specifically supposed to fix? My problem is that i jailbroke my phone just fine but any time I turn off my phone or the battery goes dead, I am taken to restore mode. I usually get out of this by plugging in my phone and running blackra1n again but I would like to be able to turn my phone off without it having to be broken again.

Yes! I had the same problem with mine and it turned out blackra1n ONLY works with 3.1.2 firmware. You might have the same problem as me. My iPod was updated to 3.1.3 and sadly, they're not going to be making a jailbreak for this version. You can check which version you have in steeings>general>about and if it's 3.1.3 it cannot be jailbroken :(

Hi i did your procedure but my problem is that it does not boot. i jave jailbroken it already and when it was rebooted when i was installing some apps it just goes into a loop. when i click make it rain Geos picture comes up but after a while the apple logo comes and then back to connect to itunes???? it restore the iPod on a mac all you should have to do is run blackra1n again and that should take care of that cause thats what mine did... but i also am still having problems with that when it restarts... im still looking into it and will tell you if i find a permanent solution...

restore ur iphone completely, next open up blackra1n, next connect ur iphone to ur computer, then click on make it rain, ONCE IT TURNS OFF, hold the home button and sleep button UNTIL the apple logo appears then once it appears TAKE UR HAND OFF OF SLEEP BUTTON and then just hold onto home button until it shows geohot
