I say 1 millionth of an inch. Which is .000001--- How do you metric system lovers say the equivelant of .0000254 in your metric? Just asking, i don't get the "simplicity" of metric system. Didn't grow up around people using the different prefixes that metric uses. I'm used to inch, feet, yards, mile, which I myself think is simple, since thats what i knew growing up.
For the love of Pete, if you dont don't know how thick a milimeter is, or how much a kilo weighs, the you need to be hit in the head with a tack hammer (from Tommy Boy) The whole world, except us Americans, understand that. Once you get used to it, you will see that it not only makes more sense, but is easier to use.
@JohnMGilbert "How It's Made" show is broadcast in over 180 countries. At most, only 4 of those 180 countries do not use the metric system. Deal with it.
@av8rdav cut off wheels are generally smaller and mainly for rotary tools and not power tools. but yeah, probably the same materials, just a different process.
Actually, the smallest grinding wheels can be a lot smaller. I've got some that are about 2 centimeters in diameter. I use them to cut plastic with my rotary tool.
In Australia, we still use PSI a lot more then KG/CM2
