hello i just bought an acme nb16 do you have any experience with this car or the toki .05 engine that it comes with ? i probably would not buy

Do you know when every one says that ACME are crap and the Team Infinity Engine is hard to start hard to tune? Wwll i have had a ACME Condor for about 3 months now. And to be honest the quality of the parts are not great but you can get loads of upgrades. But I have hardly had any problems with the Team Infinity Engines they start alright and they are EASY to tune as well.

for what i want to do acme is not bad. i heard they are hard to start though. i got a remote start and dont have problems. as stated its like buying a kia instead of a porche. got my for a decent price right now. 200 dollars and that included a quart of the gas mix and remote start.

at nitrotek you can get the new 1/8 scale acme buggies and they have the SH 18 and 21 engines, it's great!

well 16% fuel is right because i used it on my condor :). the engine needs tuning.. no point asking ali because hes most likely going to be on different fuel than you and also the weather in china will be different. best thing to do is just lean out the high end slightly and add a bit of throttle to help it start up.

ive been in contact before about problems for this buggy. the recent problem is puzziling. after an run my enginge conked and now starting it is immpossible, ive tried copying all the settings off my other condor which runs for hours with out stopping but have had no luck. the engine is under 1 yr of age any ideas??? any reply preciated thanks

are you able to pull the start n there is no strange sound from inside the engine? check n see if the fuel is really flowing into the engine or not. Clean the carb (HSN n LSN) needles. in any case if all settings are right, check the glow plug, replace with new one, charge the igniter well. If all fails then something might have gone wrong inside the engine.

last time i checked the engine the clutch was a little worn, this was 1-2 weeks b4 hand but on the one often 1 s try to start it sounds like the normal sound my other car does.............

the engine dosent flood and we do often check the glow plugs, I have taken the the hsn and the lsn out and given them a full clean in the correct lquid (cnt remember name). if it is the engine do you have any idea of what the problem could b if we look? Thanks for the reply and for reading this.

Well I'd recommend that you take engine out, take the pull start off, then open the 4 screws to get that plate off from back of engine. check if connecting rods n other parts (Shaft) are ok. also take heat sink off, n take the sleeve off, check if there is no carbon residues on piston n inside the sleeve. if shaft n connecting rods are ok, it should work fine after you put it back.

rofl that jump on the front wheel was INSANE! i must admit i thought that was a goner at first, and it drove off without a problem! yeah that engine really is a low revver compared to your redcats, like your sandstorm. and may i say, FINALLY! NEW VIDEOS! lol i missed them XD

Thank you mate. yes that front wheel hit was a bouncer too. did you see how the buggy bounced like a ball LOL. but it sure is durable. I am running engine too rich. just because I did not do 5 tanks breaking in. Next time will sure run it lean :D

oh right. yeah that would explain it. my car runs amazing now that i tuned it properly, it revs so high lol. theres still a definate blue exhaust smoke so i know it isnt to lean

yeah, it drifts beautifully on wet roads, and at this place we found at a local woods, its sort of a O--O shape, so you can go really fast down the middle and swing it round at each end. thats how i practice going into corners fast and coming out really fast. its good fun XD (well not the cleaning part haha has to be done though)
