there is a red type however, extremely rare and used while fresh or shortly after harvest (not exactly sure?).
There is szechuan peppercorn but it isn't a peppercorn either. Coriander seed goes really well with pepper so it would certainly work (I use it regularly but not 'in' the peppercorn blend).
Not allergic to it, luckily. But few times happened to me to chew on a whole peppercorn (we put them whole into salami, here in Italy...you're supposed to take them out from the slice, before biting it...but you know, sometimes you just need to chew the salami right away! :-D) and i started disliking the taste very much... now I can taste it even in small quantities... and makes me sick :-/
What a great way to illustrate different peppercorns. I bet that mixture would taste great, especially when you have more than black pepper. Great vid.
each has their own punget/ bitter taste. Also, much fresher with more colour too. You can select your own grind depending on the food being prepared. Meat tend to have a larger grind while other dishes more fine. Yes, great on chicken and steaks. I just added an older vid. for a response, check it out! KtC
if you feel ill(i mean wanna throw up, im from sweden:D) then eat a white peppercorn! It doesn't stop you from actually throw up, but it makes your stomach feel a little better. =)
Fantastic tribute to the 'Corns!
Mortar and pestle, very cool...for the coarse grind (lovely aromoa there I'm sure! )
Of couse you omitted the "Daily Grind" on purpose  that made me laugh!
I agree pepper is the king of spice, and this is just what your episode 400 begs for!
Cheers! :)

Not all enjoy pepper, although it is found in most prepared foods. I have heard of some folks having allergies associated with it. Not sure.
They do have nice colour. cheers! KtC

Yes, a nice combo on flavour. A step up from the package ground pepper.
I wanted to address the peppercorn. It deserves it own vid :)

The blend is a bit more cash but I find you use less and it taste much better than just ground black pepper. thank you, KtC
