In my defense, I'm only 22, which meant I was about 8 when this song was released. I had HEARD it, but I wasn't at the point where I was actively LISTENING to music yet. I'm 17 and i heard this album when it first came out, i was only 4 then but i still enjoyed songs from this album like Ascension(don't ever wonder), Sumtin Sumtin, but then again i was lucky my Uncle was a big neosoul/rnb fan so i was blessed to have rgew up with great music from the likes of Maxwell, D'Angelo, Groove Theory, Tony Rich Project etc, you have a point unless you were exposed to that type of music from a young age chances are it would completely bypass you.

I'm totally with you on that. Now, I may have only been "hearing" music at that time, but my young mind still was able to separate the good stuff from the crap. Although certain songs did get me in trouble with grown folks at times (try being 10 years old and singing the very first line of Erykah Badu's "Tyrone" in front of your mom, lol).
