I have a question about making calls before actually getting my own. When you make a call, and put it on loud speaker, are you hearing your caller from the phone or from your car speakers? That's my biggest concern.

I think you did a great job and alot of us are thinking of the same; using the docking to intergrate the Iphone to the car rather than buying a mount with a wire that needs to be connected each time. Have you seen picture of anyone else solution that uses the docking system? or a retail car mount that docks to the standard pins? Can you post pictures of the docking and mount? How does the docking stay on the mount? Great job!

Does it work for streaming audio? I like to listen to Stitcher on my iPhone in the car but use an earbud bc I haven't figured out how to stream audio to my car speakers yet.

Have you tried using the supplied iPhone dock for its audio line out while streaming from Stitcher? My guess is that it should work fine, as should any compatible FM transmitter. It is important to note, however, that not all iPhone audio is played through the supplied dock's line out (phone voice for example is not). Whatever works with the dock out of the car will work with the dock mounted in the car, so try it out.

I have a mustang as well, but I have a regular cd player. I am assuming I need to buy an adapter to make it all work?

You would just need to make sure that your cd player has an aux. input.

No, the dock has a pretty sturdy hold on it. Even speed bumps don't phase it. You could probably catch air and destroy your shocks before the phone would fall out of a well mounted dock. In fact, I think in my car it would be more likely that the dock broke free of the bracket I mounted it on.

now, if you had used the headset port as your audio source, you could have the incoming call voice play over your car speakers, which could be pretty sweet, but would probably give your caller a pretty wicker echo.
