Final boss themes are so important because I think that they really define the boss your going to try to beat. It seems that with modern video games people have forgotten that.
@strongo25 It actually does make me take longer playing old games. The thing was that games didn't have as much space then so they made them very challenging(like dark matter in Dream Land 2). Another example of this is castlevania. I disagree with him when he says games these days suck. Only some games suck. There are still challenging games out there. Games used to be even harder.

Here's why I'm speaking up though: These ancient relics of gaming past are fun, perhaps BECAUSE of their simplicity. Masterpieces of their time. In a few years, this same arguement will happen with games like Portal and Fallout. Good gameplay is simply judged by how fun it is to play.

Sorry I don't have playing extremely repetitive fps's where you duck down, shoot, and then find cover again. I actually like most game types besides fps's, and I actually use to like some of them when it wasn't just the "cool" thing to do.
@hungryhungrymetroid In case you haven't noticed, CoD isn't the only game to cme out in the last two years. Deus Ex Human Revolution and Dead Island have more to them duck, shoot and cover. But these snobs conveniently forget advances in gameplay so they can keep on bitching about the state of modern games. And shooting, ducking and covering are present in almost every genre.
I agree. I buy most modern games from Nintendo because they stick more towards an original formula. I may own a couple of Microsoft and Sony games but most are for Wii. Kind of sad too. I remember Sony used to be just as good as Nintendo because they had Crash and Spyro but no both of those franchises are dead. Modern Sony's only saving grace is Naughty Dog's Jack series and Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank series. Everything else is just as bad as Microsoft.
@xXMethodKidXx A great instance of this is Minecraft. It has terrible graphics, but they fit the game so well. The whole guns and graphics thing is what ruined Banjo-Kazooie when Microsoft attempted to make a new game for it.

Every song in this game was just too awesome for words, having like the right amount of "cuteness" but with the underlying emotion in it as well, and as you went on the songs just got more epic and you end with THIS. Couldn't ask for anything better :)
Are you kidding? The way he looks is creepy too. He's a dark red evil swirling vortex with a screaming skull face, and then he turns into some kind of facade that's negative space outline looks like a fetus.
Not to mention he can only be defeated by prayers to the people of the world praying back, you the player included.
Basically he was an evil alien that MewTwo's appearance pretty much copied in the first Mother game back in 1989, but then he died, yet you go into the past

You know how many of game developers like to sneak in something completely unexpected to games. This boss is a perfect example. They even did that with Kirby's Adventure (remember the Nightmare?, I got to words to say: "ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS!!!")

Yeah, I think you're right. Zero was created from people's negative emotions, and as such, is all he feels... but that doesn't just mean hate: it means sadness, jealousy, loneliness, you name it... and he feels that if he can't feel happiness or anything else positive, then no one should. Either that, or he just wants everyone else to be able to understand how he feels, but he's doing it the wrong way... At least, that's what I think.
When I listen to this song, I think of how 02 tried over and over to accomplish his goal, but each time he did, his nemisis is always there to stop him... So he went after another star planet and figured this time he would triumph, but in the end he had to face Kirby once again, and is prettty much driven to the point to fight him in a visually angelic state (showing that is probably dead already from the last fight.) All that anger from his failed attempts probably made him into what he is...

Good list. Definitely worth it. :D Melee's a good time killer, FFIV is good for the storyline, and Kirby 64 isn't too tough but still incredibly fun. Also has an epic final boss. That is, if you can reach him.
I kinda get the name of 02 (other than being the second versian of 0): 02 stands for oxygen. You need to breathe oxygen. If this is named 02, than it takes all the oxygen, which is TAKING YOUR BREATH AWAY! Awesome boss to fight.

I was almost at the final boss and at the happy levels (1st world)
and my dad said
"what is this sissy crap!!"
then i got to 02
My dad's expression was like 0__o

First time I saw Zero Two, all I could think of was "WHAT IS THIS DOING IN A KIRBY GAME? THIS IS THE VERY STUFF NIGHTMARES ARE MADE OF!" Then I couldn't sleep for a bit.

sadly if they bring back 02 nintendo will probly make so many changes it wont be 02 anymore.also am i the only one who thinks o2 has the emotion of sadness and not hate?think about it...he is only able to feel negative emotion...kirby keeps sending him more hate...and it was too much for him...he even came back as an agle like form(making him dead)to get revenge...he just wants the world to feel what he does.if he cant be happy then no one can

Yeah, I think you're right. Zero was created from people's negative emotions, and as such, is all he feels... but that doesn't just mean hate: it means sadness, jealousy, loneliness, you name it... and he feels that if he can't feel happiness or anything else positive, then no one should. Either that, or he just wants everyone else to be able to understand how he feels, but he's doing it the wrong way... At least, that's what I think.

When I listen to this song, I think of how 02 tried over and over to accomplish his goal, but each time he did, his nemisis is always there to stop him... So he went after another star planet and figured this time he would triumph, but in the end he had to face Kirby once again, and is prettty much driven to the point to fight him in a visually angelic state (showing that is probably dead already from the last fight.) All that anger from his failed attempts probably made him into what he is...

Good list. Definitely worth it. :D Melee's a good time killer, FFIV is good for the storyline, and Kirby 64 isn't too tough but still incredibly fun. Also has an epic final boss. That is, if you can reach him.

I kinda get the name of 02 (other than being the second versian of 0): 02 stands for oxygen. You need to breathe oxygen. If this is named 02, than it takes all the oxygen, which is TAKING YOUR BREATH AWAY! Awesome boss to fight.
