I use the 350, it's definitely the one I'd recommend. It has really versatile and nice sounding tone for a solid state amp, and I use it for gigging and rehearsal all the time. It's loud as all hell (my friend could hear it from 3 blocks away the day I got it) and built like a rock. I dropped it like 3 feet onto the curb one time at a show, and it still works fine.
Obviously no 500 dollar combo amp will be like an ampeg svt all tube head, but this is a great middle step.
I got a rumble 75, and I have no problem keeping up the volume with my drummer at practices, and it's perfect for bar and club gigs. I was able to get a great fuzz tone out of the overdrive built in with the scoop button. Not only that but it's built like a brick; it says kickproof in the manual and they mean it.
@YellingAtEveryone hey, how fuzzy is the fuzz? I ask because I want to use this amp for my guitar too, and I have no distortion pedals. Would the overdrive work for full on heavy metal distortion?
@jaj145 the fuzz is built to distort bass, the guitar tone with the fuzz is crap it doesn't have any definition, but it doesn't have an effects loop so you wouldn't be able to run a pedal through it anyway I tried. By all means it's great for bass though.
Hello im planning on buying the Fender Rumble 15.So heres my question. Can i use this amp to play with my garage band? Will it be loud enough for the drums and the guitar?Thank you.
@frikaz0id no and buying such a small amp for gigging is a waste of money. if you want to keep up with an acoustic drummer you should get AT LEAST 75. when I was saving up money I realised going for a higher amount of watts meant more value for money.
i have the rumble 15" and its really robust and has a lot of features like headphones and CD input but i have to say the tone is not that impressive. to be honest if i plug my headphones i get a better tone from them than the bass amp.
Plan on getting a Rumble 30 for my 1st amp. Hopefully I can get a tone for alt-rock, pop-punk, and punk rock out of it because that's what I plan on playing.
@Fan666Maiden Right. It depends on what your using it for. If you just want to jam about in your house or play around not too seriously then even a 15 watt isn't too bad. But the 30 watt is a great amp! If your considering playing at higher levels, then maybe a 75 watt, depends.
@JEUXolim Well, I still mainly just play at home right now, but in case I would get started with a band I'd rather not have to go looking for a new ampafter I've just bought a 15 watt - or a 30, on second thought ; ) I think I'll go for the 150 or the 75. Howerver, I heard that transporting the 150 can be a rather big problem and I probably won't be playing any real big gigs anyway, so I'm not entirely sure yet.
@Fan666Maiden Well as long as your happy. I hope that you will be satisfied with what you buy, and I hope that you won't regret any purchases in the future. The 75 watt is really good for it's price, apparently, one of the best amps in the world for it's price.
im in a band with a guitarist with a 75 watt guitar amp, a loud drummer and a PA system for mics. we play in a garage. which one of these will give me enough power to cut through the mix?
@sasukeuchihalb Depends. There are different levels of volume and tone. The volume isn't the only thing that matters. If you consider to play with your band at a good level then I'd go for the 75 watt.
@jesseleewhite I actually have a rumble 15 and i use it to practice with my guitar and multi effect pedal. It sounds real nice, you just have to be carefull on equalizing or it will sound bad.
i bought a rumble 15 and a Fender Mexican-made Pecision Bass. it may be small, but my bass level right now is probably bottom of the bottom, so it works well for me to practice alone. or it works if i invite a friend over to jam with. and i LOVE the headphone idea. i could be playing at 3AM and my parents would never know :^]

@jaj145 if you want a loud amp you can run your bass and guitar through I would look at the GK ultralight amps. You would still need a pedal though.

@jesseleewhite if your question is: can i plug a guitar in a bass amp?
yes you can, it's just a question of sound preferences. bass amps might sound too "hi fi" for guitars.
HOWEVER, the inverse is impossible: you CAN'T plug a BASS in a GUITAR amp, you can damage the speaker
