  • Hello! Watched your vlog and it touched my heart! I know the feeling even thou I don't have US. My husband has US and have seen him struggling with the acceptance of US. He's awesome and I love him very much. It's great to see you having a such positive outlook about your life and how you deal with you US. Hugs!

  • Hi Braveheart

Your vlog is good to share with everyone...I have a good friend who has US since childhood and He's 62 years old...he said what's make him continues to see...just take good care of yourself and stay away from eating meats, eggs, & fishes. Do what you have to do everyday and go out as much as possible to enjoy the mother nature and city life. ^_^

  • @4tubegal : Fascinating! Well, I have to say that I cannot stay away from meats or eggs... BUT I can stay away from fishes. *shrugs* Hee hee. But, I do understand that I need to keep my body (and my eyes) healthy as much as possible to have a fulfilling life. Thank you so much for your input!

  • My partner and I watch ur vlog you touched our heart!!! Make us eyes tear! I wanna to hugg you! But we will moving out 30th of Nov. We are going to California see my sons then traveling to somewhere on our vacation trip. Come on call us we still around here Arizona.. if we can chance to see you This Sunday?? Let us knowww! Huggs xoxo

  • @Magick7Dragon : Oh, thank you for letting me know that this video touched your hearts! :-D Wow, you are moving out of AZ? I'm jealous! Hahaha, jk! Hmm, I'll see what's happenin' this weekend then I'll let you know via email, ok? HUGS xoxo

  • Connor, I would like to meet with you somehow via webcam or vp or whatever. Can we? I left you a message on your Facebook, darling.

    Ox

  • @BeDaleBe - I do have a vp but, for all life of me, I cannot remember the forsaken number! Hahaha. I'll email you the # when I get the chance to check my vp! :) Oxox

  • (part 3) Life is too beautiful not to feel it sensually through tactile and that's probably the best thing you'll get to experience. Remember we're all here, your DB brothers and sisters.. 90 <3 is probably the most strongest love you'll get to experience as we're sharing the same journey together. Hang in there! Patty (DeafBlindMusings) OXOX

  • @DBadvocate - Oo, I didn't get that private video from you! :( Try again!

Yay for more DB brothers n sisters! Your experience is touchin since that I actually have a DB sister and she just became a mother. I remember she said something abt how she was scared that her vision'd get worse after pregnancy. Now, she's a wonderful n happy mother. So, really, I do realize that there is light at the end of the tunnel, no pun intended. I'm grabbin as much of opportunity as I watch my niece grow up! :-)

  • (part 2) as it is important to have positive reinforcements and healthy support from others. They also enable my independence rather than coddle me & think I am unable to do things. Being a new Mommy for the first time and with two new babies; it's not hard. It's a miracle I tell you and to see their faces, their laughs, giggles and to snifffff in all their glorious baby smell... ahh bliss. It's okay to cry, scream and grieve the loss of your sight but celebrate life and her gifts. (part 3)

  • Hugs to you!! I left a lengthy private video for you and hope you saw it, if not, LMK and I will see what is holding up the video. Connor, your vlog is very emotional; like Coco, I cried when I first saw it last night. It was not easy watching your vlog because it made me think way back to when I first shared my experiences as a DeafBlind person. I'm now a DeafBlind Mommy of two beautiful twins; 4 months old. I've learned it is always best to associate myself around supportive people (part 2)

  • Oh yeah.... Braille is a challenge, but it's cool because many many people can't read and I like reading erotica books in Braille and if I were to read it in church no one would know hee hee. :) Maybe. Las Vegas yep I went and I gave two presentations there.... or we met through mutual friends maybe. Where r u from? Hugs :)

  • @tactiletheworld OMG... When you mentioned erotica books in church, I rofl'd. Seriously. I love you for saying that. Hahaha!

Oooo, I THINK that's where we met... I was probably extremely intoxicated that time. :-/ LOL. I'm from AZ, but I've moved to Hawaii and Oregon. I went to Gallaudet for three semesters in '02-'03 - hung out w/ Ridor, Masa, Lee Trevanthan, Kris Pumphrey, Matt Dans, etc. I'm just droppin' names here in case if you recognized any of them. Haha. :-P Where are you from?

  • Thanks so much for sharing this raw vlog. I always think of you as a very stubborn and strong guy and it's OK to break down once in a while. We're all humans. I have deaf-blindness issues, too, but it's not Usher's and we have to keep an eye on it. So, like you, I live in fear of not being able to see anymore and not being able to cope with it. I'm so glad that you got in touch with Coco. There's another DeafBlind vlogger named DeafBlindMusing. Hope she sees your vlog and comments here.

  • @mewznpurrz I've always loved that quote, 'We are all humans'. It's just so true. Yeah? Oo, I'll keep my eyes open for DeafBlindMusing and hopefully get to meet her via the vlogsphere! :-)

  • ok enough babbling from me, id love it if you emailed me - tactiletheworld at gmail.

stay strong... you're hell of a cute guy.... and im here for you.

    <3 coco - aka - tactiletheworld

  • and went ahead, learned Braille (wow its cool) and cane (my seventh cane is currently named "kung fu cane" and knew my sight is going so I made it my dream to travel the world.

Friend, I know it's so hard right now, but when one door closes, another opens... there is potential for you somehow, somewhere, but as soon as you accept it and figure out how to live your life as an Usher's/Deafblind person, then it'll be easier. Trust me. I know many many good Deafblind parents with great kids. <3

  • Despite Usher's being a very fuckin scary thing, there is a positive upside to all this - preparation, skills, meeting new people in the large Deafblind community and making sure your friends are educated about now and later so you live more comfortably. I used to have this mountain of burden on me - just as I can see it's on you - until one day I decided, fuck this, i aint letting Ushers destroy my life, fuck it, I'm not going to be vain for people and pretend I can see/dont need help....

  • Hello honey. You look familiar. Maybe we met at Gallaudet or some random place? My name is Coco, the mastermind behind Tactiletheworld heh. Ridor referred me to your vlog and am I ever glad he did.

I cried when you started crying. When you started talking about how unnecessary it was for you to prove you could see at a young age, I've been there. When you talked about your fears, I related. I want a baby one day and WILL love it no matter what. There's so much we have to talk about.....

  • @757K thanks

  • Just contacted my friend, Christine, to check on your vlog. Hang in there, I always knew you had it from day one. And that does NOT stop me from chatting with you, did it? Hell, we had wild times, did we?

    R-

  • @ridor9th Thank you so much! The fact that she might watch this means so much to me! Oh, yeah, those ol' wild times.... Hahaha. A great self-growth experience!

  • @oVConnorVo *snickers* I'll treasure these moments. Sometimes I tell myself, "Did we do that? Yes, we did!"

About Tactiletheworld -- consider it done.

  • @tactiletheworld Noooo, don't stop babbling! :) I love to read anything that you have to say here! You are a fabulous and courageous woman... And, now since you mentioned it, I think we've met before.... I wonder, did you go to Deaf Expo 2010 in LV? O_o

OK, I'll send you an e-mail as soon as possible! I'm excited to hear all about your life experience. BTW, thanks for 'answering' my question - it's called Braille! Duh me! :-D Really, it's cool? I like trying cool things! Heheh

    HUGS Connor

  • WOW you touched my heart ! While you can see, live by each day and enjoy while you can. Be strong and think positive! I have some issue that I can't accept but learn to accept and move on to make the best of it. I don't even know you but I want to hug you! :)

  • @deafscrapbooker Yeah, you're right - live by each day... I am strongly positive and always will be. :) Thanks!

  • Wow... You're very strong, sharing your feelings with us. I cried watching this video. Hugs!

  • @kydeafie hugs back thank you
