Night Kite flying and an RC UFO Flying Saucer. What could go wrong?

1:36 you are wrong, Red on Right is Returning.. aslo known as Red on Right=run.. means the AC is comeing at you. even your video shows Red on Right

That is what I said. Left is always red on the left wing, just like real planes, but red returing means your looking at it coming at you and red is on YOUR Right, not the plane.

Hello Mr. Night Flyyer! Saw your pic in the paper. Wondering if you were going to do a video about Sibley. again. Cruising around town, hitting the highlights. My Mom's family lived in several houses on 10th street n the "even #" side. I lived at 508 2nd street. My GF (Abe Fransen) lived at 50810th Street. Maybe some good shots of the park. Or inside the high school? I was in the first class to graduate from the HS. (1972) Just a thought and wishful thinking. And I LOVE Crazy Days!!

The lights shut off when all movement stops, like 15 seconds, not 15 min. But he found it by listening to the tail rattle in the wind.

They have a self timer built in that will not let them run for more than 15 seconds, but by setting up the sensitivity, they stay on all the time. Ill bet the HB would vibrate enough so it would work.

Thanks very much. Inside is a tiny spring that is connected to the circuit board on only on side the other is surrounded by some metal tabs. When the spring moves, it touches the metal and the light comes on for only 15 seconds and goes off. Setting it up very sensitive allows it to look like it is on all the time, since they blink anyway.

The lights only stayed on for about 15 seconds after it landed. How I actually found it was by listening. The tails were still whipping in the wind even though it was on the ground which made it sound like a plastic grocery bag stuck in a tree.

if you really want to have some fun go get a stunt kite u will love them they r WAY more fun. just try it..... as much as u like RC stuff and with the wind u always have u could have a blast. when its not windy u can fly planes and when it is u can fly kites it doesnt get much better

NICE idea!! I got the tie fighter kite from wal-mart and converted it to a stunt kite with duel strings, flies great!! Now I will get me some red lights!! Mind you, I live in the Yukon and the sun is up until midnight so I may need to wait for the winter ;)

This is something I would do. I used to drop plastic trash bags from my kites like parachutes. I'd use a small zip tie and loop it backwards, the wind would blow it up the string and the zip tie would open up when it hit the top. Goofy fun stuff.

Hey the first 14 seconds were really good re: tire flies. Then I got punished for a crime I never committed. Wind noise ,, narration too close to the microphone .. comically-excessive humor .. should have remote tripod mount night-shot camera.  I'm sure it looked good - sure didn't video good. Hey!
