My friend you have good brakes! something similar happened to me last friday but you at least had the truck movin along in the same direction, this truck was cutting my lane turning 90º degrees and he did not stop even after seeing me braking the hell out of the car. Final result, i did crash, but because i let go of the brake and steered moments before the crash i ran against a lamp post, didn't total the car, she'll be fine but hell of a ride. Got sad because insurance wont cover it.

You should've reacted quicker man. My dog high on weed would have reacted quicker.............and he is dead! Nah just kidding, good braking. You should have hooted at him when traffic started moving again and got in front of him and slowed him down. And when he tries to overtake, speed up again muahaha :)

People need to chill out on the roads, every single person will make a mistake every time they drive, its human error. No one is a perfect driver 100% of the time. Its easy to misjudge things, Ive done it as has everyone else so if no harm is done its better to laugh about it rather than have a girly hissy fit!

@pimpUK1 yeah because people who slow down on the freeway ( 40-50mph) end up with a written off car or dying.....And "people need to chill out on roads" well, if it was a small error then yeah, but try telling that to the family of those who lost their loved ones because truckers changed lanes at the last minute without indicating. Yes, no-one is perfect, but if you make major errors like the trucker above then you shouldn't be driving, let alone in charge of a vehicle of that size.

@09feb1992 people that deliberately break hard in front of vehicles weighing 44 times that of their own are dumb, the only person likely to get injured is them!! They've just avoided one accident, what’s the sense in trying to create another? it beggars believe that people can be that thick, a good driver won’t try to teach people lessons as they are concentrating on their own driving! People die on the roads, get over it, every "trucker" sees it day in day out and are far more experienced.

@09feb1992 As you are obviously American judging by the "freeway" instead of "motorway" you wont realise that the truck in left hand drive, driving in the UK which is right hand drive so its harder to judge the speed of vehiclea approaching on the passenger side also the fact that there is a roundabout coming up means he needs to change lanes to turn right. If anything the car drivers going too fast and then gets upset when a situation arrises that he struggles to deal with due to his speed

So your argument about the American thing has gone out the window. And you don't know if the car is going too fast because the speed isn't shown, so that argument is out the window as well. And did i say brake? No i didn't. I just said slow down as in coasting the car or not pressing the gas. Are you saying the "trucker" was not at fault?

@09feb1992 No what I'm saying is if you are going to comment at least call things by the correct names! There are no freeways in the UK, they simply do not exist! I wouldn't call a freeway a motorway as it isn't! As a experienced driver licensed to drive all types of vehicles from tanks to trucks on the road and having had my driving assessed many times and assessing others, I can see bad habits, my own is speed on approach, this video shows why it’s a bad habit. Why teach people a lesson?

Cellphone and Mobile phone is the same thing, Potato Chips and Crisp is the same thing, Vauxhall and Opel is the same car. And when you say you are "a experienced driver licensed to drive all type of vehicles etc", what is your point? I drive a car only and i can see bad habits.You teach people lessons so that they can learn, from their mistakes or just in general.

@09feb1992 No they really are not. Freeways have different laws so they are not the same. It’s naive to think that. My point is I have probably reversed more miles than you have driven and I still make mistakes, I would be a liar to say I didn't. I've been walking all my life get still walk into things/people as I am human. It’s the job of the Police and judges to "teach people a lesson". It’s called road rage when you teach people by nearly causing a accident. A good driver would not react!

@pimpUK1 Yes they are. They are similar. What are the different laws then? So what if you've "probably" reversed more miles than I have driven. It doesn't mean that you are a better driver than me. It just means you are "probably" more experienced. That's it. Walking isn't the same as driving. Police ain't always there dude. Road-rage, sometimes is the only way someone will learn. If no-one tells them about their mistakes and habits, they'll carry on doing it.

They are similar I'm not denying that however its motorway in the UK, Autobahn in Germany etc. My experience will make me make a better driver as I've seen and done most things on the road. I do it day and day out and get assessed yearly and due to the nature of goods I carry I must be good! I still however make mistakes as do you and every single person so do you want someone try to kill you next time you make a mistake so you won’t do it again?

@pimpUK1 Wow speed limits and road design is similar. Freeways and Motorways have similar road design. Both have more than 2 lanes in each direction, both have on-off ramps. Both don't have junctions on the actual road. And speed limit will differ, even in England. As i said before, Experience doesn't necessarily make you a better driver. Well i don't know what goods you carry. You could be a postman for all i know. How is slowing/coasting gonna kill someone?

@09feb1992 Its simple, in the UK it’s called a motorway not a freeway, we don’t have trash, garbage, fanny bags, cell phones, station wagon, suden or sidewalks, Experience does make people better drivers as they will have experienced more. You wouldn't trust a newly qualified builder to build you a house as much as someone that’s been there and done it. I carry dangerous goods, such as ammunition, gas, corrosives etc. Also do some abnormal loads, long or wide which is very challenging!!

Its how you use the experience gained and just how long you've been driving. And i would trust them if they were cheaper, warranted and had proper training. And i would feel smug, because you're/they're supposed to leave enough space/time when following a car and their car should be roadworthy and not have faulty brakes.

@09feb1992 Driving for years doesn't mean much. You could drive for 40 years without ever going more than 10 miles away from home. Driving a HGV you will be travelling thousands of miles a year on all types of roads and for for some of us, in different countries with different laws and languages. A company will not employ a driver that is bad, a truck and trailer costs over £150,000 and then of course there is the load which has no price limit. Why create a hazard, no ones perfect!

@09feb1992 Lets say you slow down to teach someone a lesson and they break hard, unbeknown to you theres car with faulty breaks behind them or a ederly couple with slow reactions which don't stop in time and a collision happens! Would you still feel smug then? Thats a extreme event. If anyone ever tried to brake test me, or cut me up I wouldn't take evasive action. I was following a truck last week that got brake tested!! All he did was flash his lights to get a van infront to move left.

Wow, that was bad. He didn't even signal. Going at that speed, the truck might look far away, but that's 2 seconds away. BTW, that's what all truck drivers do. They just assume drivers will yield and give them the spot. And if cars don't too bad for them.

I am a lorry driver here in UK and spend most days on the M62 between Goole and the A1.

The amount of foreign drivers on this stretch is very high,might be due to ports at Hull and Killingholme,but the standard of there driving is way below UK truckers.

I see this happen day in day out,and someday its going to cause death to some innocent driver.

If you see any forieng vehicle,car lorry,whatever,just expect the unexpected,when you would least expect it.

Typical impatient driving, no consideration for others at all. It isn't just truckers, but considering they are professional drivers, you'd think they'd know better.

What pisses me off about truckers is when they tailgate you. They just don't give a damn. If I have to stop suddenly, they're gonna kill me.

I myself am a lorry driver, and whilst I do take take pride in my job, there are others that dont. That instance in the video happens to me alot, and not always foreigners, and usually its just because they want to be at the front of the queue. Nice job though there buddy, another accident avoided because of professionalism. :-)

well no matter what, you didnt crash and its better lorry do that, then crashing into stopped traffic that will still move into to your lane (lorry or other cars)! but still a good job of avoiding!

M25 almost every day, you get to the front of the tailback 45mins later to find its a foreigner who clipped/wrecked a car because his blindspot mirror is on the wrong side so couldnt see when he changed lanes. Funny you should mention that...I'm a lorry driver and get caught in the rush hour traffic along the M25 as well, so far this chilly season all I've seen is cars who have clipped each other or skidded off the road, not a single accident involving a HGV. Its all well and good putting more mirrors on trucks, but if you ever drive a truck, all you'll find is the mirrors themselves start to create other blind spots...regardless of whether its right or left hand drive!

well out of all accidents involving HGV's (which isn't many on the whole), more than 75% are the fault of the other driver, not the HGV driver...so If you think HGV's of any kind should be banned, then surely its fair to also ban cars seeing as they cause the majority of the accidents! I'll let anyone come and ride in a HGV with me so they can see just what we HGV drivers have to put up with from car drivers, you'll be suprised!

I was testing out a better way to mount the camera in the car. It worked well and the camera didn't move about. So i'll take the camera out more while i'm driving around and post more of the mad shit I see on the roads on here.
