Is this dude aware that he has the same name as Ringo? Nothing against his great playing but if my name were, say, Elvis Van Halen, I'd look into changing my name...
I used to play my mom's martin all the time. Nice guitar. But then I got my Taylor. It's a lot smoother, but there is still a special place in my heart for martins.
I only have 1 Martin but i the joy of my life. It is only a DX1 but it still looks and sounds beautiful. This guy can play. I want to move up the scale one day when I can afford it. I had a Sigma as my first guitar and that damned thing lasted me for 25 years! I finally threw it out after a house fire. It still stayed in tune! Long live the Martin!
I met Richard at the Martin factory in 1999, he invited me to grab a lefthanded D-35 off the wall in the diplay room and we had an impromptu jam--a wonderful experience. If I can ever figure out how to get the video on the cokmputer I'll put it on here. Thanks again Richard,it was a pleasure meeting you and having the chance to play with you.
