This "choking" nonsense is just lazy reasoning. Ovechkin puts up numbers in the playoffs that are as good as his regular season numbers. That's not choking. He doesn't play goalie and he doesn't play on the three other lines. And you kinda need those other aspects of your team to be good, no matter how good you are as an individual.

All honour to Ovy but Crosby is better IMO, no clear difference betweem these two but in TEam Russian Ovechkin have been bad last years i know, being selfish and invisible on the ice more. Crosby is perfect playmaker plus great goal scorer but Ovy is more a goal scorer type, good hitter but Crosby is great defensive center.

Seriously though, I'm not denying the stats. But Ovechkin has to win something soon. Look at the Sedins, clutch performers in the reg season, but come playoff time they can't win a thing. That sane stigma will be around Ovie if he does not get a cup soon

@Sinco1967 lol tell that to Ovechkins Calder Memorial Trophy,Ted Lindsay Award(x3),Hart Memorial Trophy(x2),Art Ross Trophy, and Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy(x2)...oh and his 9 NHL records (that DONT have to do with his age at the time, unlike Crosbys) and his four 50+ goal seasons and his four 100+ point seasons...and your right a cup and a gold dont define a players skill level, what i just listed does. and obviously ovechkin has won more individual awards which show that he is more skilled

Tell it to Crosby's three straight 19 point playoff runs (27 31 19) while Ovechkin can barely average a ppg in the 2011 playoffs.
Tell me when Crosby scores 85 points in a full season lmao. Please. Tell me when Crosby scores less than a 100 point pace like Ovechkin. I'm not even going to get into there linemates (Crosby plays with inferior linemates)

@Sinco1967 yes, i dont think there is a doubt to who is better, as much as i hate him (flyers fan), his stats are better, he is a better 2 way player( better defensively) and has already won a cup

@WahooWa1819 Statistically Crosby is better. Crosby playes with Kunitz and PASCAL DUPUIS lmao. Ovechkin plays with Backstrom and Knuble. Backstrom scored 101 points last season. So Please. Switch The linemates around and Crosby would have all the awards..( ooo ye he already has them and then some.)

Ovechkin has 301G and 313A for 604PTS and a +\- of +88, 98PPG 134PPA and 52GWG Crosby has 215G, 357A for 572PTS, a +\- of +65, 65PPG, 163PPA and 25GWG...so how is crosby better stats wise? because out of all the stats i just provided Crosby was only better than Ovechkin in the assists, and assists dont win games. and ov has 2x more awards

@WahooWa1819 lol check the stats again and this time look at games played. Ovechkin has like 40 more points in like 60 more games lmao. When Crosby got injured this season they were tied in career points but Crosby played 25 Less career games. Not to mention he is younger and plays on a far worse offensive team and linemates. Playoffs Crosby is better. lol Crosby>Ovechkin.

@Sinco1967 so i guess what your saying is crosby is better because he plays on a worse line? and because he gets hurt a lot and cant play as much?thats not ovechkins fault is it?ovechkin gets hurt too but he doesnt act like a bitch and sit out he keeps playing.OV got stiches on his face and broke his nose in the same game and scored 4 goals.crosby gets hit in game 7 of the cup and sits on the bench like a bitch,and then when the game is over lifts the cup and goes crazy as if he was never "hurt"

@WahooWa1819 hes definitely not more skilled, crosby is a better all around player and is a smarter player, i hate the guy but he is no doubt better than crosby right now, unless it was just a fluke year for both players and ovechkin comes back with a better season simlar to past years and crosby slows down the pace he had before he got hurt

@WahooWa1819 Crosby has a better point per game average , he also has a more points then ovie in a single nhl season, crosby : 120 points / ovie : 112. Crosby also has a better goal/shot % overall in his career , just comes to show you that he dosent need to take 500 shots a season to score goals. Even if he does score less goals then ovie, its maybe because he is a center, unlike ovie who is a winger , and he does not hog the puck like ovie. That's why Crosby has way more assists then ovie

@WahooWa1819 look at the two seasons crosby has been injured. he led the league in points at both times of each of his serious injuries and by a mile aswell. he would of won a lot more awards. and ovechkin has been shit the last 2 seasons, and crosby has a stanley cup soooooooo???? indiviudal stats really dont mean a thing

And Crosby did get injured, shit happens you cant use that to try to say he would have won if... Stanley Cup is a TEAM trophy. Malkin, Fleury, and Talbot did more for the Penguin's than Crosby did. Also he is a total puss. He didn't even play for most of game 7 because he got hip checked into the boards by Kronwall in the late 1st period/early 2nd and was

@MrBrownstone1994 limping a ton off the ice and didn't appear until after they had won the cup. his leg didn't look too bad when he was skating around with a trophy over his head. Not to mention that he is a classless piece of shit. He is the fucking captain and he didn't even shake any of the Red Wing players hands after Game 7. The ENTIRE Red Wing team was waiting at center ice to shake hands and all the Penguin's but one took the time to show them the respect that they deserved.

@WahooWa1819 You forgot to mention most of those 9 records had to do with how many SHOTS Ovechkin has taken where Crosby it was for POINTS and AWARDS... Crosby: Rocket Richard (1 - would have been 2 this year), Stanley Cup (1), Art Ross (1), Olympic Gold (1), Hart Memorial (1), Lester B Pearson (1), 4-100+ point seasons, Points Per Game Average 1.38 (Ovechkin 1.29)... Sorry you should also mention Ovi has good linemates in Semin and Backstrom, where Crosby doesn't and still racks up points.

@alexanderovie08 Shows how much you know pal, Crosby hardly plays with Malkin or Staal, especially in the first 3-4 years of his career. He has stints with both, but never have they been steady linemates. You have no idea what you're talking about, Ovechkin has played with Semin and Backstrom most of his career buddy and they are great players, Crosby has had Kunitz, Guerin, Recchi, Dupuis and a bunch of other average players, if he had Semin and Backstrom he would fucking destroy Ovechkin.

@alexanderovie08 And again, no idea what you're talking about, just because Ovechkin puts out his tongue and skates like he wants everyone to look like him doesn't mean he is a one man effort, Crosby is just as active as Ovechkin, but he isn't going "oh-oh -look-at-me" like Ovechkin. Crosby is on of the most active puck carriers on the rush and in the zone, don't even speak when you make such stupid claims.
