Once you make certain adjustments you can play 720p files no problem, maybe I will post a video of my duo playing HD video. The main thing is when people are trying to look for a tablet with a addition of being a netbook then you will be disappointed. Dell Duo is a convertible laptop, meaning it's a netbook/laptop first and the tablet option is a bonus. If you are looking to spend majority of the time using the DUO as a tablet then get a tablet, not DUO.
If you're looking for an iPad type tablet, I would agree with you, stay away from a Windows tablet, get an iPad. However if you want a viable laptop type replacement, check the ASUS EP121, it's the best Windows Slate out today.
@chambonito1 And you're not going to find one until Windows 8 arrives on ARM. Today you make the trade off between battery life and full OS capabilities. For me Battery life isn't that big of a deal as I'm using my EP121 for mostly business and in places where I can plug in whenever I need too. If I wanted a tablet to watch movies on while on the road, I would get an iPad.

@Walrondrm Correct. My biggest problem with windows 7 tablets is battery life. I haven't found one that can go 8 hrs or even close.
