  • Sorry, got a little lengthy. Anyway, so confused. Dont know which size anymore. Please help. Will be ready to buy skate banana in 2 weeks.

  • First, let me say thanks for sticking with your thread and continuing to answer all the questions. Now i will ask. I thought i needed a wide, but now not so sure. Not even positive what size anymore. Was looking at 159W. Ride groomers, learning ground tricks and started park and jumps last year. Would do pow if i ever got any. 6'2" fluctaute between 180 and 190lbs and currently have size 11 burton boots, though rented a couple times last yr and had to go down to 10s in the rentals. So c

  • Is it flexible? lie realy realy realy flexible is what I want

  • I was thinking about the New Park Pickle 156W i have US size 14 boot. I am apron. 6.0'' Tall and weigh about 205lbs. Would this be a good set up for maneuverability? and get n' down are dirty? rippin shit up!? I don't want excessive toe drag.... cuz of my size 14 boot..

  • I am 6' 135 pounds and a size 11 shoe what size board would you recommend?

  • The Skate Banana rocks I love that board

  • Skate Banana, Park Pickle oder Ride Machete? Which one do you recommend for park?

  • @maba1995 - They will all work well.

  • Im 5'11'', size 11.5 boot, and 156 lbs. Im looking to buy this board but i don't know which size to get, so help please?

  • @MySports4life - 156 wide

  • @MySports4life I would agree the 56W would be perfect. You are the exact same size and foot size (which is a little creepy ;P) as me and ride the 56, but tbh if I could have the extra 10mm width I would. So yeah the 56W, and the banana is the best all around board ever. Don't ever let anyone tell you it's just for park either because it really isn't.

  • im 6'4. size UK 13 so i know i need a wide.

ive heard that you can ride it shorter than normal boards.

what size should i go for??

  • @goliathdiver - Check out the 159 wide, but how much do you weight?

  • @sierrasnowboard about 11.5 stone

  • Comment removed

  • i have the slim cut, whats the different besides the slimness of the board?

  • @LlamaKing123456789 - That is it.

  • im 6ft 1". size US 11.5 boot. 180lbs+

i loving spinning of natural lips, carving the piste and bashing thru the trees in pow.

has it got to be a 159 wide for me?????

  • @snowskatesnow - You could go with the 156wide, but it wont float quite as nice in the powder.

  • 2010>2011 graphic

  • skate bannana, forum youngblood double dog, or forum honey pot

  • I'm 5'8. 150lbs. Should I get a 149 or 152? I mostly want to use the board for boxes, rails, and small jumps.

  • @jermverde1 - Go with the 152

  • @sierrasnowboard what about a 5'7 145lbs dude? i found a 09 banana 152 on craigslist for 300 supposedly good condition. should i go for it?

  • @sierrasnowboard I'm 250lbs and 5'11" and I've been riding the 152 for a year now, you can ride this board short as hell dude

  • How heavy is the board compared to a neversummer evo? or just on a scale 1-10 10 being heaviest

  • @themandude454 - around a five and similar to the Evo.

  • lib tech skate banana or custom v rocker? i love to ride park and all mountain

  • @DaSuperBalla - Custom V or Flying V

  • @THATMADIRAQI - It should not snap from even the deepest press.

  • I'm 5'10 160 lbs with size 12 feet

Should i get the Lib tech box scratcher 151cm for jibbing and small jumps

  • @KroniKSurfing - Get a wide board and one a size up from the 151.

  • Is it good for powder?

  • @IMseanIsnowboard - It is a lot of fun in the powder!!

  • @sierrasnowboard Awesome..Whats the cheapest price for a skate banana?

  • @IMseanIsnowboard - For the 2011 $489.00 - You will have trouble finding a 2010 or older version, because they tend to sell out.

  • @sierrasnowboard Oh I probably won't be buying it then. Too much money for me but I'll save up to get it sometime

  • Lib tech is good for small-medium jumps, and great for park riding. If you want to go fast, hit the big jumps, and stay in better control, don't get a rocker board.

  • I'm 5'9". 215lbs. size 11. I mostly ride groomers and want to start some park. what size banana should i get? Should i go wide or not?

  • @Jmedz718 - The standard size 156 & 159 are both 255 mm at the waist so you don't have to go with the wide if you don't want to.

The 156 will work for groomers and park.

  • i live in the northeast and i ride a lib-tech because burton sux

  • @dumbbroadcasts - Seems like a poor reason to ride Lib Tech. You should ride Lib Tech because you like how they ride and think they are awesome!

  • Would this board handle 40 kickers and up?

  • @Ollywerskate - Yes

  • I'm 5'10", 160lbs, size 10.5 boots...will I need a wide Skate Banana? I don't want to risk toe drag. Will I have drag issues with a regular width Banana? Thanks!

  • @RiceyHot - You don't really need a wide Banana. A normal width will be fine.

  • For my size and weight which is Banana is the best?? I am 5'7 and 185 pounds. Size 10.5 boots.

I mostly ride groomers and sometimes a bit of pow. I ride a Burton Twin at the moment but want to try the Skate banana because I am trying to get better at buttering, spinning etc.

    Thanks

  • @wardwoerden - Go for the 154 it will be the best for your body type and riding style.

  • too bad they dont explain any of the terms they just used

if i hadnt already research all this shit, "banana rocker", "magnetraction" they would be meaningless to me

  • @GiveBlood88 - Check out the companies websites for more info on specific terms.

English Translation: The Skate Banana is a great board. Try one out in the 159 wide.

-- I'm going mostly freestyle 187cm tall or in the park. so far I furhr a wide board but even that's not for my huge feet wide Genung (boot size 48 1 / 2) would you recommend me the banana board, if so, what size do I need?

    thank you

  • i am 5 foot 9 maybe 10. 155 pounds and i ride park and hit jumps anywhere from 20 to 50 feet. would the 152 be alright?

  • @Steeze95 - The 152 will be fine an everything but the bigger jumps. If you are really hitting 50 footers you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect at these speeds on a smaller board.

  • thanks

  • what lenght are the Wide versions???

  • @MegaNafets - Wides come in a 156 and 159

  • is it centerd stance

  • @larsentunes4 - True Twin with a Centered Stance, Yes

  • whats better for park, the narrow banana or wide??

  • @totallysick88able - All depends on your boot size. If you are a size 11 or larger go with the wide.

  • This or Custom V-rock for all mountian?

  • @dodda - I say the Custom V or the Sierra Reverse Crew

  • hey ive heard that this board is pretty much like the gnu park pickle except for the pickle's asymetrics thingy but ive also heard the banana is softer im a progressing park rider that wants to learn to press next season but still learn grabs and bigger jumps

  • @shortyblue7 - Really not any difference between the two boards other than the sidecut.

  • Okay. So I'm deciding between the Neversummer Evo and the Skate Banana for my next board. I ride big mountains and back country a little, bomb it down groomers, and throw down a few long park sessions. So... Evo or Banana? Just looking for some opinions.

  • @PowderProjects - The Evo may be a bit better for freeriding than the Banana, but Lib's T.Rice boards are stellar for big mountain riding.

  • i cant wait to get this board

  • LMFAO

the dude in the video is clearly riding a Burton Custom 0:30

    burton for life

  • @NeroRome - That is correct, but they are both Rockered ;-)

  • @sierrasnowboard touche

  • @NeroRome lib tech owns burton!

  • should i get the 152 or the 156?

  • 156

  • im 6'0" and weigh 145. size 11 boot. i just destroyed my forum manual and im looking to buy ether a 153 gnu park pickle or a 152 skate bananna. my problem is my buddy has a bananna and i dont wanna copy but i honastly think the park pickle is ugly a sin. haha. any suggestions? i mostly ride park.

  • Get what you want to get.

Sounds like you know what you want. Sticker it up and start your own Banana Posse!!

  • Well I mean I have the same feeling like jebushascome, like to do park stuff (jump, rail, buttering) but sometime will have to take it all over the mountains because of friend

  • So what size is good for me to do a bit of every thing? Or what other board best for me?

  • im 5'2 and 100 pounds is a 146 good for park for me

  • Yes

  • hello. i am 5"11, 210lbs and boots size 12. is 156w skate banana too short for me? should i go for 156w or 159w?

  • The 156w will be fine when on groomers and park.

It is too short for powder.

  • im 5'3 and weigh 110 what size 152

  • You may want to go with the 148N.

  • Is this board a true twin? Does it ride exactly the same switch?

  • Yes, it is a true twin.

If you set it up centered it will be the same riding it switch.

  • Does the 148N come in PINK? I can't find any! Plz let me know!

  • Yes it did, but good luck finding any this late in the season.

We have been sold out of that size for months.

  • Phht...yeah, it figures all the girls grabed up the smaller ones. It seems that all that's left in that size are the ugly yellow ones. :(

  • im 154lbs 6'2" 13US

im guessing the 156W is best for me?

  • That is what I would say, 156w.

  • i'm looking to get better at more park stuff, jumps > rails, but especially want to get better at buttering and messing around on the flats (so quite flexy). problem: when i go snowboarding my mates are usually not up for the same thing the whole time so i will have to take it all over the mountains

which of these (or others) would you suggest fits my needs?

    rome artifact

    capita stairmaster

    lib tech skate banana

(I'm worried the first two are too noodley to take anywhere around the mountain)

  • I say the Artifact or Skate Banana.

Also check out the Capita SierraScope.

  • is the skate banana any good for speed?

  • It holds up quite well at speeds.

The MTX makes it lock into a turn.

  • From what i have read, if you plan on hitting jumps bigger than 30 feet then this board is not for you

  • I would say 50 and up you want to look for something else, but it holds up quite well.

  • I'm 5'10'' and 150 size 10.5 boot spend a lot of time in the park what size should I get?

  • The 156wide would work for you.

  • I am 5,9 and 135lbs what size should I get?

  • The 152

  • I'm 6'1" 178 lb and i was looking for the 159w size, I love to ride on powder, and carving on piste, but also butter at low speed...the other board that i looked was the Ride Dh 159W or the Capita SierraScope 156....with board I should buy?? help please!

  • The Sierrascope is the best for buttering, but the 156 may be a bit short for you in the powder.

  • That's for the answer sierra, but with the skate banana there is any problem to do carving?? I like that one cuz i can get on powder quite good. I should buy the 159w or the 156w size? I'm 6'1" 178 lb, Thanks!

  • The 159w for powder and the 156w for park and resort riding.

  • It holds and edge really well.

Carving feels a bit differently then a standard sidecut board, but it works fine.

  • if you have a wide board does it decrease your performance in park?

  • yo i got the 2010 skate banana and i need to wax it and sharpen my edges how do i sharpen them with the magne tration bull shit i dont want to fuk it up

  • Same as a normal board.

Have a professional do it if you are concerned.

  • I weight 165 pounds and am 6 foot tall with a foot size of 10, which size board would you recommend? Thanks sierra

  • 156

  • hi im 5'7 and weigh 150 and have a size 11.5 feet i was wondering what size i need.

  • You could get on the 152 wide or even the 156 wide.

  • Comment removed

  • the dude isnt even riding a skate banana!

  • it honestly doesent matter how tall or big i am :p i probably wouldnt have lots of pow around where i am and i probably wounldnt want to go in it. So it would just be like for the hill thats already all packed and shit

  • The 156 will work just fine then.

  • so im 6 foot and 210 pounds have size 11 foot, could i ride a 156 or would that not be good? tell me what you think pleasee

  • It will be fine if you are going to use it for groomers and jibbing.

  • the 156w is always good ;)

dosn´t matter how tall or heavy you are xD

  • Banana or Pickle?

  • Flip a coin

  • shred it, love it :)

    greets

  • i don't know what to buy, if the banana, if the custom v rocker. What dou you think?I'm an all mountain rider. I was almost decided to get the nana but i've read a lot of reviews saying it's not stable at high speeds and has a lack of pop.

  • @ariops86 Dude ride CAMBER! haha trust me buddie this reverse camber thing is just somthing company's are doing because its a hot seller.. but guess what in 1978 reverse camber boards were a hot seller but everbody got use to them and realized THEY WASH OUT EASILY, AND DONT HANDLE GOOD AT HIGH SPEEDS.. trust me man! im very open minded and i work at a shop so i test ride ever new thing that comes out! but if you want fun slow rides go with revese camber.if you want a serious ride then go camber

  • do burton bindings like the cartel fit this board ???

  • does it matter which end the board is facing?

  • ok thanks for your help :)

  • @MrXtremeStuff Yeah man I'm 6'2" and ride a 157W...I'm actually thinking about getting the 156, too...heh heh...

  • Hey there,

Im 5ft 7 and i am getting one of these. i am 14 and still growing. the 159 is about up to the bridge of my nose. i would have about 3 inches to grow if i got that one. the 156 is just below my nose and i would have about 2 inches to grow with that one. the 159 would be better but im worried that i would not be able to control it because of its size. with the 156 im worried i will grow out of it...any suggestions on what would be the best choice?

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Get the 156 it will always be a good board in your quiver.

    Even if you get bigger.

  • nice, do you have the 2009 or 2010 lib tech?

  • 2010's some still in stock.

    2009's sold out.

  • whats the next size after 152? cause i would like to ride powder with it also but id say id ride 60%park and 40 % mountain.

  • @Dongy44 I think its 155, Should be. I ride 152 cuz I ride all park basically.

  • also, im 5.9 and i weigh 145 lbs with size 10 boot. i ride mostly park and mountain, what size board should i get? i was thinking the 152?

  • 152 would be fine, but you could go longer if you want to ride powder with it.

  • @Dongy44 Im the same exact height weight and boot size as you (weird lol) and I have a 152. I ride mostly park and its perfect.

  • do the lib tech banana's come in 153?

  • No 152

  • I'm 5'11 size 10 foot and 130 lbs. which size should i get?

  • Get the 156

  • Where can i get one without having to order it online/

  • what's up with the ending??

  • im 6 ft and 210 pounds size 11 boot, what size would be good for me ?

  • Crunchy - 159 wide

  • Hi, i'm 5'11, 140lbs, and an intermediate park/all mountain rider. i have a size 11 boot, so i was wondering if the 156W would be ok? Because i looked at the website it says that the 156 is for 100lbs and up

  • The 156 wide would be great

  • do you think i should get the GNU park pickle or this?

  • This is a safer bet.

  • my friend has it and its peeling like a bannana, same with my friend who has this board. the GNU has no edging on the nose or tail which makes it very weak to damage if you hit your nose on the rail or something

  • The skate banana has no tail and nose edge as well, the only real difference is the skate banana has a softer flex, so it's easier to carve at slower speeds but unfortunately it's about $100 more recently. I bought it when they were the same price but now I'd prob go with the pickle for a hundred bucks cheaper

  • yeah my friend has knar presses on the pickle. the dom is pretty good its what i ride, good flex, durable and sick graphic

  • Hi there, I need some advice. I'm 6ft 1, 183 pounds and need a board for competition slopestyle. I was thinking a lib tech box scratcher 151 or skate banana 152 but I don't know if I can use them on the 50ft+ kickers. Will either of them do and if so which do you recommend?

I was also need a board for pow/pipe/big jumps and I was thinking of getting the burton custom v-rocker. What do you think? Oh and if not then what board do you suggest? And what size? I was thinking either 156, 159 or 163?

  • For Big Jumps and Pipe you may want to stick with a camber board.

The Custom V is what I ride and it is great and pretty much everything else. It holds up well in all conditiions but is not my top pick on Big Airs or pipe.

You would be fine on the Custom V 158.

For competition in slope style go with the Banana, but maybe in a longer size than the 152.

  • If you are not that good in the pipe but like to hit it sometimes, will the reverse camber be bad?

  • you sounds like a poser to me, if you were doing 50 foot kickers and in slopestyle competitions, you'd know how to pick your boards and not be asking on youtube. If anything you'd be asking companies themselves because you're probably in contact occasionally with them

  • It is pretty common that anyone competing with USASA, the amateur competition circuit, will be hitting jumps around 50ft.

As a National USASA coach, I find that good riders are not always in the know and most of the time they are not in contact with the manufactures.

    - Doug

  • omg Doug you won yourself a cookie! way to go! pwn me those snowboarder posers who thinks they know everything because they have won a competition as a kid!

  • haaah i just buyed it :D + Ride NRC binding .... freakin great :D

  • should i get this board or the forum destoryer. i ride park and back country mostlyy?

  • You are probably safe getting the Banana.

  • Hey im on the fence between the T rice c2 board 157 and this in size 156, i ride a lot of park and groomed runs. What should i go with?

  • I would go with the Banana. The T.Rice C2BTX if you are into a bit more All Mountain freestyle or freeriding.

  • Nice i got the 2010 banana yesterday from you guys, hopefully it will be here soon

  • the rider at 0:29 is riding a burton custom v rocker...

  • yeh wtf?

  • Just got the 2010 Skate Bnana 156 Wide in Red took me so long to find this.

Lib Tech 4 Life is DAM right!!!!

  • I got him!

    And i love it.

    Lib Tech 4 Life!

  • i have the 2009 one... if i had enough money i would go for something with c2 power banana technology from libtech!!!

    just banana it!!!

  • Hey guys i'm 5'7" and weigh 125 and have a size 9.5 boot. I like to ride alot of park but ride some groomers. What size would I get? 152?

  • Yes, get the 152.

  • Ok thanks!

  • got it and it's fuckin' great! My dad knows a distributor so I got it cheaper too xP

  • i am truly jealous. i want this board soooo bad, but i'm broke hahah

  • nice , i got 2009 lib tech mc kink
