I don't blame casuals, not everybody wants to dedicate to a game, they just want the fun part of it.
However it gets boring for those who find fun in in-game hard working to get rewarded when everything gets nerfed in favour of the casuals.
What really buggers me is why doesn't Blizzard separate the servers into Casual and Normal, so the casuals can get ultra-nerfed and easy servers and the lads who want to work hard can get servers that actually require a brain to play.

@PatentApplied That sounds nice, but "casual and normal" would be bad labels for the servers you describe. Like in most games a simple label of easy, normal or hard is more appropriate. Not all casual players want easy mode and the VAST majority of gamers in general are casual gamers.
Games are primarily designed for casual gamers. That normal difficulty you see in games is built for the average gamer which happens to be...casual.

Personally, I think the Heroics were great, so long as you weren't try to do it with a D-Finder group. Pugs just don't work until you over gear the content or get extremely lucky and have 5 players without goldfish-like attention spans.
I just play WoW to enjoy the content and have fun exploring and seeing new things. I'm not exactly a casual, but I'm not hardcore. The only people that piss me off in the game are the ones that act like drill sergeants and constantly post DPS and berates anybody they think isn't doing enough..
Sucks though, I'm an old RPG gamer, and I used to kick ass at RPGs, but now they're all geared toward elite action gamers. If you can't hammer buttons at high speed accurately, can't play RPGs anymore.
For me ("a casual") Cata tier 11 was one of the best tiers for a long time. You could be challenged by jumping into a 5-man dungeon and didn't have to dedicate to a raiding guild to enjoy the game. Then, once again, Blizzard started handing outraiding gear for completing heroics and now everyone just outgear everything, and we're back to the mindless AoE fest. Sigh. If Pandaria heroics are just as difficult as the Cata ones, I might resub for the first patch.

General Husam was glitched at the start of cata (not sure if fixed) but if your environment detail was set to low for performance reasons, you couldn't see the blast radius or if the mines were active so it was always a guess to see if you could move or not.
I think they should have a 5 man for raid equvilant gear personally, one that you could do in under 2 hours but is harder then a Heroic. Then people who CANT raid can still get Raid gear. They just have to work alittle harder for it. :3 Raids giving more gear and being abit easier but requiring more time while the 5 mans giving less gear and being more difficult but requiring less time and being more accessable to people who arent able to stay with a guilds raiding times due to work or w/e.
I agree, BC heroics were actually hard to do but the challenge was fun. Blizz is catering to the casual kids that play the game rather than the people that have been playing since it came out

I remember when cata was still hard... Sure I wiped a lot in heroic dungeons, but eventually I learned to use strategy in them instead of mindlessly spamming attacks on the enemy. I sure hope that they take the nerfs off of the dungeons someday soon.

There are too many ppl playing now that treat it like its their life and that is the problem. I agree Wrath was too easy but now the mimimum average gearscore to get in to heroics is far too low. If you go in with minimum you will get so much abuse.
I love the game but nerds who use WoW as their only platform of power are pushing players away. I'd much rather advise than abuse. Too many players run HCs in raid gear so it sets a barrier you can only break if you are in a high level guild.
Well I am a casual player on WoW (used to raid a long while ago now) and I do agree with one thing: It became ridiculously easy there are no challenges in HC's and let's face it, the DS raid is nothing but a roll in the park...
@J3XIS At least the raidbrowser version. on the other the normal raids are really annyoing, since the mechanics are fairly easy but even if you do anything right, if your heal/dps is slightly to low you dont make it :/

You then used your 'life' (wowcrendor spends most of his time making videos, which he is paid for) as an excuse to why you can't work for things. If you don't want to take the game seriously, stay out of content that's supposed to be serious; don't bitch because you can't spare the effort.

General Husam was glitched at the start of cata (not sure if fixed) but if your environment detail was set to low for performance reasons, you couldn't see the blast radius or if the mines were active so it was always a guess to see if you could move or not.

I think they should have a 5 man for raid equvilant gear personally, one that you could do in under 2 hours but is harder then a Heroic. Then people who CANT raid can still get Raid gear. They just have to work alittle harder for it. :3 Raids giving more gear and being abit easier but requiring more time while the 5 mans giving less gear and being more difficult but requiring less time and being more accessable to people who arent able to stay with a guilds raiding times due to work or w/e.

I remember when cata was still hard... Sure I wiped a lot in heroic dungeons, but eventually I learned to use strategy in them instead of mindlessly spamming attacks on the enemy. I sure hope that they take the nerfs off of the dungeons someday soon.

There are too many ppl playing now that treat it like its their life and that is the problem. I agree Wrath was too easy but now the mimimum average gearscore to get in to heroics is far too low. If you go in with minimum you will get so much abuse.
I love the game but nerds who use WoW as their only platform of power are pushing players away. I'd much rather advise than abuse. Too many players run HCs in raid gear so it sets a barrier you can only break if you are in a high level guild.

you gotta realize that this game really is targeting the lowest common denominator of people so the philosophy of "making people think" really doesn't work. let's face it. people want to just KILL things in dungeons so anything that isn't a ROFLstomp just doesn't work in WoW. and asking anonymous people to do something doesn't work either because there is no consequence for being a troll in the game. then again i think Cata was supposed to enforce the whole social mechanic but that imo failed.
