I just purchased this phone and it said that it was "my faves compatible but when I downloaded my icons I couldn't open the file and when I went to the t-mobile site it says that even though the phone can receive dowloads and images and ringtones it's not supported. That sucks!

i had the same problem. lets all just stop being cheap and buy the iphone. because this phone really sucks. the camera is bad. the texting is too little. the sim card doesnt work. its way to light. its just a bad phone. so everyone get iPhones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!

you probably are using a 3G sim but the phone only sipports EDGE/2G.

im guessing u have a 3g sim card..most of these phones only work with a 2g sim card..so all u have to do is buy a 2 sim card and u should be good to go

hi , emergancy means you can only call emergancy numbers like 911, so i think your sim is blocked so if i were u id just gt a new sim card m8 :)

chek ur sim card if its in the sm1 slot....and push it all the way in ...make sure its not lose tha same shit happened to me bro...1

Err,on a normal phone, it normally says "emergency only" when your sim card is expired. It expires after like 12 months of not using it, so when was the last time you topped up the sim?

Okay, I'll take the advice of some ACTUAL users. So can anyone tell me, does this phone have ACTUAL internet like the iphone? And can anyone or has anyone attempted to view youtube and or myspace video on it or video from any other websites? If so, does this phone allow it? And does this phone give too many problems? I know it's a good deal compared to the iphone but do I have to worry about freezing and malfunctioning? And last, is it more PC based or MAC based?

for music, just connect phone to comp w/ usb, open up My COmputer,

go to phone folder, and drag songs from itunes to music folder in phone

mine did that at 1st . are you sure you have the sim in the right slot. try to switch the sim to the other slot and see what happens . i'm works just fine

dude if u live in the US u probally accadently got one that isnt for the Us the only ones ive seen for the us are the quad bands bcuz if ur in the us n u have att they use 850/1900 band u probally got one of the 900/1800 witch means u cant use it.

this happened to me when i first got my phone..i put my sim in slot 2 and it didnt read it. i turned the phone off removed the sim and put it in slot 1 and it worked fine.

i would put money on you getting a stray signal from the 1900 band sometimes. tkae it on the riad and the service will change in different directions. You most likely need the 850 band.

I have the 850 band I selected it and it says no signal. Im going to take it to the at&t store tomorow to have them look at it

you are probably on the esge of the 850 area. Did you check to see what you need there? is the 850/1800/1900 sticker int he back? if not, the 850 band does not work anyway.

yes only for a little while I went to settings then to network setup preffered networks then option then add from list then alphabetize the list find at&t then select sort by default for at&t then sometimes it pops up as at&t and I called my home phone and it worked for a little while. I cant expalin it but it worked.
